If someone has to use an aimbot to hit tanks, they are generally not a threat. It doesn't really offer many advantages anyway. I prefer my own hand-eye coordination - a product of several thousand years of evolution - over some "aimbot" that a Russian wrote over a few weeks.

Maybe, just maybe, he wasnt the one spotting you?

There is no way to alter the spotting parameters so it is impossible to cheat that way. This is a server side game.

Betting my french cheese collection on it not being a cheat.

Could be wrong though which would be a shame 'cause I like cheese.

There is no cheat to allows spotting tanks over mountains unless they are in proxy spot range <50m and then it's still not a cheat. There are no cheats that will allow enemies to spot you. The only cheats that tell you the location of enemies are very vague like the one which tells you where trees fell and the one that tracks arty tracers.

I think he's using the old autoaim + mod that allows a snap without highlighting the tank.

There were a lot of complaints when WG said it was no longer permitted and some have no doubt continued with it - I believe the current version can be easily modified to re-enable the banned function.

Well, that Player does manage to lock his auto-aim several times on tanks without having a direct line of sight and/or without his cursor being on the target, so it might be some kind of advanced auto-aim.

That's the gist of it, nothing more. Once the auto aim is locked it doesn't lead the aim (heck, in several cases you can see it trailing behind the moving target, just like regular auto-aim does)

So all he has is some mod that let's him lock onto enemies. And although that might now be a forbidden mod I took a look at that player's stats and I kinda have to say:let him have it.

That player is below 48% win rate, and none of his tierX tanks (of which he has several) exceeds 43% win rate (many of them even lower)

If he cheats then he has barely a clue how to use them.

Why is it impossible, all the other players in your team know where you are...

Server side game, means that the same info is sent to all players in the battle, so location hacks are possible.

I also agree with you, clearly cheat (autoaim extended), used once on Valentine AT (11:30), once on Lorraine 39AM (11:13), twice on SU-76FT.

Is the zoom at 2:25 a mod? It's really weird :amazed:

Funny stuff: once I indicated the timing of the snaps, he removed the comments on the replay.

Yes, the guy playing is using a cheat mod. No, the mod doesn't allow him to spot for him, but it does allow him to engage autoaim without aiming directly at the enemy. No, I don't think that should be an illegal mod but that's the way it is.

He's getting snippy in his replay comments:

http://forum.worldof...3-cheat-or-not/

The post was made at 3.29pm. The replay is over 14 minutes. Yet, miraculously, a FAME player (FAME_skill4tu, Warrant Officer) claims this is a cheat in his post 1 minute later (3.30pm). How can this FAME player know this was or was not a cheat if the replay is 14 minutes long after only 1 minute. Is he lying?

Is this trolling and bullying by a FAME player, contrary to game rules?

No THEY are not. If you're going to argue with me about it, at least understand how it works first.

The server DECIDES what information your client shall recieve. Whether you know where your team is or not is irrelevant. The client can see that information because it is sent to you by the server.

Your client cannot request information it is not allowed to recieve, the server will not allow such a request.

A serverside game means that all the essential game mechanics are calculated by the server, on the side of the server and THEN sent to your client, instead of your client telling the server what to do. Your client has zero input in game calculations.

Edit: After watching the replay the only unlawful mod I can see is what others are seeing, the Autoaim+ mod. Send a ticket and move on.

Ohh it's _Ghengis_Khan_ which previously was in the clan [ADUK], after him and a few of his clan mates went berserk on the forum they got if not permanent at least very long forum vacations.
