Someone in the forums suggested lowering the mouse sensitivity in sniper mode to 25-30%.

I tried it and all of a sudden I could hit things. Today I was actually accused of having an aimbot.

So thank you, whoever you are for the suggestion. Now I can bask in the glory of being called a cheat!

Today I got a new computer. I spent so long doing all the other things I had to do to uninstall/delete/disable the junk that came with it that I forgot about this.

Might explain why when I played my first game in months the aim was flying all over the place, especially as for once I wasn't even drunk.

I have sensitivity in general set to pretty low as I hate high-sensitivity in anything but FPS games.

Plenty of space on my table to use my mouse eratically

My mouse is very sensitive. He cries whenever I jokingly threaten to halve his cheese ration.

5 years is a long time to be spazzing your reticle all over the screen. I am happy for you though but remember if you set it too low you can cause wrist issues if your doing  a lot of movement, happy balance needed.

It took me about six months playing before I realised sensitivity wasn't a done thing. So after learning to rant and be rude in chat............... I then went on to read on the forum about mouse sensitivity and that found turning it down, especially in sniper mode, was a revelation to accuracy. I now sometimes wonder if all those players who habitually use 'auto-aim' haven't come across this important tweak.

I do enjoy the two kinds of irony displayed by this.

I can even play this game without my Zowie masterrace mouse set to 800dpi.
