Tonight I played 13 games of WoT, all in tier 8 premium tanks with standard matchmaking.  10 of those games were tier 10, one was tier 9, and 2 were ALL tier 8.  I never saw a single tier 7 or 6 tank.  I had a winrate of 38.46% which is worse than a bot, as shown by 4tankersanddog when he tested the winrate of a bot.  I made 330,567 credits profit on a work night in the week running up to "discount weekend".  Whoopee woo - I might be able to buy two large-caliber gun rammers after tonight's work, if those touted discounts extend to equipment.

I take away from this two things:

1. So many players have either abandoned WoT completely, or just tier 8, that anyone still playing tier 8 has a 76.92% of being in a tier 10 game on a Wednesay night*

2. The owners of WG want to retire and have adopted Hollywood accounting as a way to run WoT into the ground - watch Mel Brooks' "The Producers" for a forensic analysis of how WoT is being turned into the WTC7 of the gaming industry.

I wanted to attach a screenshot of tonight's nonsense as evidence but tinypic and imgur are both being rejected as sources by this website.

*stick your claims of small sample size and confirmation bias right up your exhaust manifold.  I use WoT Numbers and I know exactly what tiers I'm seeing.  Get your Stockholm Syndrome treated.

10 tier 10 76.92%
1 tier 9 7.69%
2 tier 8* 15.38%

//Out of topic, I never had issues with tinypic or imgur links to WoT forums

I think the total player count is still going strong to this day, unless the stats don't show people, who left the game already.

Something messed up the mm in the last patch and if you use the search function on the forums, you'll see a lot of people already did make a thread about it. Like a lot of threads.

About time too.  I'm sick of having to open the forum on my phone because people insist on using pr0n sharing sites.

You know you can attach images to the forum?

So it was you in your tier8 vs 14 tierX? O that's right it was only vs 2-3 tierX and the rest of the team was made of several tier9 but mostly tier8, that was the worst possible draw you could have got. This is the most common mm anyone of tier8 to tier4 will get and the reason is simple. Because mm is limited to a maximum of 3(I think 3? maybe 4) top tier tanks, this means that every time you click battle in a tier4-8 tank there is only 1 in 5, or 20% chance that you will be top tier since 3 out of 15 tanks is obviously 1 in 5 or 20% of the mm whereas being mid to bottom tier has an 80% with bottom tier having the largest number of tanks per team and therefore being bottom tier is always the most likely draw you will get. If you are top tier consider yourself mathematically very lucky. This does not bother me however apart from having to hit that 2 key a little more than I would like to.

Way I see it, as bottom tier, 2 key a lot, as mid tier, 2 key in bursts, as top tier, 2 key only rarely and usually only when encountering a HT frontally.. problem is, since the likelihood is being drawn as bottom-mid tier, the 2 number is starting to wear off my keyboard along with any noticeable increase or decrease to my credits but that was always WG's plan I suspect, to make lower tiers almost as costly to play as the higher tiers or else enjoy using standard AP as bottom tier and being totally ineffective most the time and losing those close fought battles, in both cases you will STILL be making no credits.. so either make no credits winning spamming gold or make no credits losing and not penning anything higher tiered than you.. winning or at least killing tanks is a better way to not make credits vs not penning and losing don't you think?

Hi!

> 1. So many players have either abandoned WoT completely

I didn't. Just stopped playing again.

> ... or just tier 8

Thad I did. Some time ago I actually were searching for fun tanks at tier-5, just to never again see tier-8 monstrosities. :(

For my dailies yesterday, peak time, we had less than 100,000 players online.

That worried me.

10 tier 10 76.92%
1 tier 9 7.69%
2 tier 8* 15.38%

Well, this is the problem. Players complained about MM and how unbalanced it was (usually highlighting that the enemy always had 1 more top tier than they did or such like) and WG addressed it with a 3/5/7 spread. What is the complaint now? Mostly player in T8 tanks always being bottom tier. Check sites like VBAddict and they show that the spilt of players between T01, T9 and T8 roughly equates to the same 3/5/7 ratio. Therefore unless enough players in the the queue have chose T10 tanks the likelihood is that there will be a 3/5/7 battle. As more players are choosing T8 tanks it stands to reason that they are more likely to end up as bottom tier. What is the answer? Play less T8's, more T10's and T9's that way MM will be forced to fill the slots using the other options. T8's may then get less bottom tier slots or a least into  more T9 battles. But, that is a problem in itself, how do you encourage players not to pick tier favourite T8 tanks?

Maybe WG should consider making T10's only face T10's and leave the rest as they are, but I doubt that would find favour with most of the players.

As to w/r, if you were one of 14 T8's in the battle, then 7 of those lost and 7 won. being on the winning side had nothing to do with the 3/5/7 split, just that your teams lost more than they won. Had you enjoyed a 50  or 60% win rate last night, would you have posted a thread extolling the virtues of MM?

I played between 8pm and 10:30pm (uk time) and saw no problems. Over 120,000 across the 2 servers. Had some great fun doing my doubles at T4, T5 and T6.

IIRC i had 3 out of 19 where i was top tier 8 in a 3 tier game. Some were one tier only and ofc the typical tier 10 madness.

Right now mainly tier 9 and 10 games.

I'll hold my hand up to that, I have about twenty T6, T7, T8 and T9 tanks that I was grinding but stopped not so much on the introduction of the new MM but more on the introduction of the total P2W Chrysler tank - I don't want to play against P2W T8 premiums so 95% of my games are T5 and below, (so much so that I got the free T34-85M in the promotion and have only played 1 game in it)
All the T6 and above tanks are set as 'Reserve' on the carousel so I don't even see them (well apart from the TOGII* , premium MM means it only sees T7 not T8)

I've now played all the lower tier tech tree lines and have just one T4 and about ten T5 tanks left to elite.
And WG have already lost about £40 as I don't buy a premium account anymore.

I'm just playing t7 and t9, t10 till they fix the mm ( and not buying anymore premiums until I see a stable fix to the mm ) if it doesn't get fixed soon though I'll be having an extended break.
