just when play it regular, you realized how $hit this tank is.

every tier 5 hit this tank ,  feels like drive in CDC.

from 600m BC 25 AP clip it easy.

no armor versus mobility.

just dpm with bad accuracy

Torty has the best accuracy and aim time of all tier 9 TDs apart from an Strv in siege mode, and when you take all tanks only E50 edges ahead of it in accuracy with 0.30 compared to 0.31 on Torty, but E50 still has worse aim time.

Oh yea, Tortoise is not a particularly good TD. Usually you can eradicate first two tanks you encounter and then you run out of hit points.

Accuracy is one of the strong points though, actually all gun parameters on Tortoise are awesome.

Like the Lowe... it's all about the gun. And that makes it fantastic in a support role, or with support. Not that ideal alone as pointed out above after a yolo charge or two vs you.

It's armor is terrible as everyone knows it weak spots by now. Only works on urban maps if you can hide the top hatch behind a blown out wall, or around a corner.

120.000 XP until I get the Tortoise. I still don't know if I would like it enough to keep it in the garage.

So far I am not enjoying the AT15, even if it has it's moments. Guessing the Tortois is the same, only with a very good gun and DPM.

Meh I stopped grinding AT15 a few months after they came out.  Slow tanks are shite in current meta, and armor means nothing either as every noob and their dog has a full loadout of gold...

I think he was trying to say that every tier [it can meet] kills it in five hits or less (in his opinion).

I had games in the AT15 where I was bouncing tier 10s and games where I was top tier and every shot penned me because the pesky tier 6 and 7s knew where to shoot me. :)

they also said they buff the T54 turret, so? i hit the turret all the time easy, with different tanks.

so if the armor so sucks, why this tank not move faster?

t95 have allmost same mobility stats, and it is very hard to hit him.

Talking about Tortoise weakpoints -_-  You cant show your right side because of the biggest and weakest armored commander hatch on top. You can't show your left side because of vertical slope armor of about 220mm which is more than standard ammo penetration of most of the tier 8 tanks. Overall frontal effective armor is between 210-230mm which is waaay to low as for the 20km/h speed limit... Not to mention those vehicles were not tds but bunkers and trenchlines breachers...

On top of the cupola being a ridiculous weakspot it gets me spotted and shot while I can't see any part of the enemy tank. If WG refuse to buff the speed of the tank or the general armour, at least buff that cupola, make it smaller and stronger.

if you use your fantatic gun arc  you might improve your 230mm armor up to 250mm  also beside the 175mm copula i found no stop on the frontal armor thats actually below ~230mm effective armor while its 229 nominal

what might be a saving grace might be the pen lose with distance  your enemy will hardly have a more accurate gun thany your also his rof would be lower

as for "skill" ammo  than even more armored tank suffer by them without having a fantastic gunarc, acc. and dpm

and if you ever reach the 183 you might note a few things :

its armor is even worse

aimtime is a pain in the ***

damage looks nice but wont apply most of the times

its unlikely you wasted 60-80k crds in a tort. match while thats not so rare while driving the 183 and if you went for rations and premium consumables you might add another 45k ontop of that

183 is just for the trollfactor

while similar the the jtiger and Jpz E100 the T9 might be actually the better/more fun to play tanks  in that tree

Lowe can hull down and sidescrape. Tort has to show weak parts of its armor to shoot (ie. 2/3 of the hull)

I played the AT-2 for a handful of games, checked the rest of the line and saw that it was basically the same tank for the next 9 tiers, so I promptly sold the AT-2 after coming to the conclusion that this was a nope line.

and thats wrong if tort is able to hide its right side behind a rock/building/whatever it can nicely sidescrape too

löwes ufp  got the same amor as almost all of the torts frontal armor  thought it cacnt hide its central cupula and that copula only got 80mm of armor compared to the 175  of the tort. cop.

also there are 175mm cheeks of the turret and a 145mm lower frontal plate  so coming down to weakspots you might be better of with a tort.

strangly you run your tort. at almost 400 wn8 more than your löwe ...

Sadly it's a line that only became good at the very end (and WG are removing that in favor of consistency over reality lol).  We British spent far too long polishing a turd with that line lol.  The MT line is better, we got to the Comet, realised the Cruiser line had run it's course and made something different (Centurions) :)
