Judging simply by the stats, a solid MAYBE depending on your preferred play style and the actual armour profile.

It has really solid armor so you can bully lower tier tanks and actually bounce other tier 8's some what succsessfully , the german counterpart is just pure sit in bush until 5 left then rush in.

Turretless TDs are generally awkward, boring tanks to play, unless they are 'assault gun'-style (T110E3) with a ton of armor. Should work out fine for credit grinding. Playing T8 is mostly TD-gameplay anyway, seeing as any attempt at actually contributing leads to a swift trip back to the garage.

CDA has some armor, but looks incredibly awkward to play, with no possibility of angling the tank. K.jpz. 105 is just a giant "f_ck you" to those who bought the original.

Strv. S1 seems better for bushcamping anyway. Better DPM and 20 extra penetration over the K.jpz. 105, not to mention keeping camo net and binos deployed when traversing in siege. Maybe the CDA and 105 have roles as medium-distance support tanks, but they probably don't have the gun stats for it (edit: compared to a tank I know is terrible, the Ikv 90B, they have similar dispersion stats. Aim time's better, but probably not dramatically so. No Kanonen/CDA-snapshots for you, go camp in a bush!)

In my eyes, medium-distance works for tanks with good dispersion values and gun depression, regardless of turret or not (obviously better with a turret).

S1 kind of works at both long- and medium distance because of gun depression and soft stats in siege (think barely peeking over hills). Skorpion G is best at either long- or close-range - the lack of camo and mediocre dispersion stats means it can't do midrange. CDA and Kpz. seems doomed to a long-range existence. WZ-120-1G FT is probably a better pick if you want a TD-brawler - bigger gun and some armor against <T8 tanks is always helpful.

(On the other hand, S1 is actually very powerful against <90mm-gunned tanks, which happens to cover many of the same tanks that will struggle with the armor of e.g. a CDA. Siege mode is a shitty mechanic, but it does at least give some advantages. Having that camo net up all the time often is enough to keep you concealed.)

I wouldn't spend a dime on the game with the direction it's going.

Both pretty bad IMO, nothing really stands out from those tanks.

I strongly disagree.

Provided a turretless TD has good frontal armor and good mobility, you can wreak havoc with it. The new Chinese tier 8 premium TD is a prime example for that.

KanJpZ. has no armor and the gun has no threat factor. It's just an easy victim.

Strv S1 is totally special and extremely map dependent. The Strvs generally are rather defensive tanks, meaning they often only come into play when it's too late because the team's defense lines have been broken.

The CDA looks like another tank similar to the WZ-120-1G FT. I am looking forward to playing it.

Well it's in the shop now, and it's not going into my garage for the following reasons,

1. No turret.

2. Tier 8 MM.

3. The rest of the French TD line.

Apart from that it looks a half decent tank.

I'm a collector but just can't for the life of me bring myself to buy another teir 8 td that won't work ingame with the constant teir x and city map rotation. Ill pass for now.
