A Question about the loader skill "Intuition"

I never usually pick this skill until i have no other skills to use, ive never thought that it would be that useful, However i was just thinking to myself if it works with autoloaders? If i fire afew shells in the clip, could i then switch the remaining shells to APCR/HEAT/HE/AP using this perk?

Even if you could, there's still a chance it won't kick in and start a reload instead, so would you really take that chance?

Its not something i would do regularly, I was mainly curious as there are situations it would be very useful

Pre-8.4 it seems like it worked differently. Now it only works during loading progress or a full magazine, apparently.

 • Tanks with auto loader system will reload the whole cassette/drum instead of one shell when the “Intuition” skill is triggered.

 

If the chance was higher, and you could get the effect by simply pre-selecting ammo, it could've be useful. The French HTs have three loaders, which would make it a bit interesting - on the other hand you're unlikely to load AP if you know you'll meet a Maus, for instance. Kind of how it works for me in the T54E1 - AP penetration is lackluster enough that having it loaded feels like being caught bending over. 

 

Besides, autoloaders don't really need more features added anyway, interesting or not. Being inflexible (or premium ammo-reliant) is part of the gimmick.

a dont think any of the skills actually work, just another distraction to humour us

Only really useful in something with a very long reload, British tier 10 TD's for example. Was also useful on pre 9.18 arty arty's as well, now it's just one of skills that are basically worthless like the radio operators "skill & perks" (over than situational awareness, that is).

It's hit and miss but on my KV1

It works every time 

My KV1 has 5 skill crew 

So make of it what you will
