Fellow tankers!

There are some new French vehicles on the Super test. Three heavy, armored tanks without autoloaders. Interested? The details are below.

As per our plan, it’ll be an alternative branch of French heavy tanks. The main feature – front armor of the hull and turret and two top guns at option. Each of the guns stands out by really good handling.

Tier VIII: AMX 65 t.

Spoiler

Tier IX: AMX M4 mle. 51.

Spoiler

Tier X: AMX M4 mle. 54.

Spoiler

Please, note that it’s the first test of the alternative branch of French HT, and by the results of the tests we can make some changes to their characteristics. Stay tuned!

Interesting, Like the fact they all have 2 competitive guns so people can choose the play style that best suits them. Nice!

Edit - With these tanks coming in, Will the AMX M4 49 be available in the tech tree? it would make sense as the play style will be similar and would be good to train crews.

Can you fix MM first? Grinding stock tanks when you are ALWAYS bottom tier is so much fun.

So, if we all bank exp on the tier VII like muppets are you going to change your mind where it is branching off from?

Looking good, quite like these designs as they remind me more of an evolution of the Tiger II which they in effect are.

One thing though, why is the premium penetration of the top guns so bad (and the 100mm on the T8)?

Most likely, or it'll stay on the old tree while the new vehicles will be in a different tree/tier, like on the light tanks :teethhappy:

130mm on IS-7 490 alpha, on this French tank it's 560.

Consistency is the key fellas.

EDIT: 280 gold pen also? TOP KEK 120mm is way to go.

EDIT2: They actually seem unique at least.

Normal pen 218, premium 325, more then 100 mm difference. No p2w at all. KV 107 has high pen over 290 mm, but this is just sick.

This... Why guns with the same caliber have different damage?

IS-3 122mm - 390 alpha. T-10 122mm - 440 alpha

T110E5 120mm - 400 alpha.

M48A1 Patton 105mm - 390 alpha.

T-54's and family 100mm - 320 alpha.

T-54 lightweight - T-54 mod.1 - T-44/100 - T-44 - 100mm - 250 alpha.

Mostly of the 90mm - 240 alpha.

Mostly of the 88mm - 240 alpha.

Some 88mm - 220 alpha.

150mm/152mm/155mm - 750 alpha.

Why?

Some guns are balanced like that when up-tiered. However it's rather weird to have two guns with essentially same role on same tier with different alpha.

Why?

Damage is different for each shell type (check the name of the actual ammo), it doesn't only rely on the caliber.

Maybe partially the reason is the shell velocity, higher is more damage because more kinetic energy? I don't know.

But as said guns are also balanced per tier. 100mm on T8 (AP) does 250 alpha, 100mm on T10 (APCR) does 320 alpha.

Premium round values will most likely change. Type 5's 140 mm gun and this new tier X's 130 mm gun has rather similar penetration values. Also, 40 km/h top speed is quite low for 17ish hp/ton ratio. Nevertheless imo this line is a nice alternative to T110E5.

Finally some official news. Overall looks interesting. Standart pen is sh1t. Hull cheeks will make armor angling tricky. GH most likely have bad soft stats. Leaked terrain resistances means no french mobility.

Just hope they not gonna make them useless or p2w tanks..
