So the plague of the Internet, which gets tedious when surfing the web is the unwelcome pop-up.  WG have decided to include these in-game. I log in and there's a pop up telling me that the Skorpion G is Tier VIII of the week.

Simple for them to check whether I already have one, one might have thought...

You might have forgotten you already had one.

Imagine if they would plaster the maps/buildings with adds just to squeeze the last bit of money out of this game, wouldn't it be awesome.

I'd like to.  Never could get it to work for me.

Yes, but you might also wish to buy one as a gift for a friend, in which case the reminder is surely useful. Now apologise to Uncle WG.

Disable Internet access for the "cef browser proces" .exe file in your firewall software and there will be no more popups in WOT. Does not affect the running of the game or updates.

The popup for current owners was simply to remind them that it is on sale and to buy one for me. Very thoughtful of WG I think.

I performed this operation, then attempted to proceed.

Please advice. There's a counter ticking down too, 15 minutes & going. When I mentioned this to tech support, they hightailed out of here, saying it will resolve itself soon.
