Hi. Ive been wanting to remodel some tanks myself, has anyone know a good tutorial for that? And I know this probably needs to be elsewhere, but I want to know fast.

Sorry for bad English

Can you remodel a tank to look like this?

I understand that only the player himself will see it like this, but still it would be cool.

And I guess you didn't bother to do a forum search, to check the mod forum or to simply Google a bit?

No sympathy for lazy kids.

Searching on google a bit yeilds you with a bit of software that indeed can convert WG model files into wavefront object files that can be opened in Autodesk Maya etc. But have you checked what it actually produces? The models mesh is completely messed up, broken apart in thousands of smaller parts instead of one or multiple complete meshes. Makes it almost impossible to use for any kind of remodeling or export. My guess is that the program is not reading the WG model entirely correctly, because I see no reason why WG would split up each wheel on a tank into something like 10-20 different meshes instead of one complete mesh for the entire wheel.

So actually, I think OP presents a valid question, and I'd also like to know the answer to it :)
