How many times have you played this map where your team drives to the beach and automatically throws the game in the first 30 seconds?

It's driving me mad. The amount of times I have asked for a push on the 8 9 line. They click affirmative and then weeeeeeeee, scuttle down onto the beach while the remainder get flanked and overwhelmed.

There appears to be a regular fail meta on a number of maps now. It takes all the fun away when you know you've a high probability of loss from the get go. Especially with T8 MM.

It's meant as a flanking route for fast tanks. Yet it's always heaving going down that stupid hill.

Overlord beach and Lakeville valley are like magnets for brainless heavies.

I've never seen a medium rush using the beach. What I do however see and what I partake in if possible are medium rushes on the other flank.

I go to the lakeville valley only in a top tier hull down tank and I ask the team not to support me much.   The idea there is to hold off more tanks than you commit so you have the numbers elsewhere.

At the rare occasions I push beach is almost always when the game is more or less lost already and in a last attempt to turn things around.

8-9 ftw!

That's because med players usually have more brain

And who is going to try and flank on the beach in a fast tank when they expect to run into 3 heavies trying to hide behind the same rock.

Actually, 1 reasonably positioned heavy/armored TD is enough to stop push there. But you're right, there's usually 3 geniuses that would go there, ignoring the team asking them not to.

If you try going beach you are a hp fiesta for enemy tds but no no some players do the same thing over and over and over my brain might be to small to understand the reason dont know

Yeah but most of the time you have like 3-5 tanks on each side bashing their heads in and the same amount of tanks behind them trying to push their way through to get a shot out and having their teammates get shot because they block their retreat. Add arty and you have a disaster. Then you have to play replacement heavy in town with your med.

And yet I've seen games won by the team that sent tanks thataway where the other team didn't.  Suddenly your base is full of enemy vehicles.  Same with the valley in Lakeville.

You devious beast! you tricked me into thinking you have a replay or a screenshot with a game in which no tank touched the sand, but instead...

shame on you!

I never rushed there, but did use it several tanks to flank in late game. On any other moment in the battle I stay far faaaaaaaaaaaar away from the beach =p I always go around 8-9 in heavy or med and try to make a push. It's the only way to get a win in my opinion, unless the match develops way different.

8-9 is the only usable position on the map to make a push, but still most heavies camp 2-4 line trading shots with td's XD

That only happened to me with Lakeville, and only in the mode with 2 caps. Also, this requires superheavies like Maus or Type 5 and a semi-coordinated push (which implies teamwork and thinking players, hence doesn't happen frequently).

Replay or it didn't happen.

There's always at least one bushcamper who will spot anything coming beach side and those tiny channels you have to go through are deathtraps.

Mind you I did have a battle on Overlord where none of my team went beach and we still lost but we had lost long before the enemy beach party made it to our base.

You can not ignore the beach, just dont go down there.

I have seen successful beach flanking manouvres also, but in most cases that team would have won with even less effort if they had stayed off the beach.

AS I said, I will be at the chat like mad to tell them to go elsewhere.   And I meant a situation like being top tier in a Jumbo without arty...............
