I think performance should be #1 priority, maps are maps...

You can count me in to test with very poor specs laptops and desktops (weaker Nvidia GPU or iGPU from intel, DX11 + DX12)

I hope we can together improve performance from current status to better future!

Will players that already have access to Sandbox need to register again or do they have automatic access? :)

hello. I was trying to install SB client, but failed. I know the servers will be up on 11 October. I did something wrong? thanks!

You know there's this really great Windows app called Snipping Tool.  Saves you posting your whole desktop.

Hopefully I am still part of the test group from participation in previous SB tests, hope so I want to see what the maps look like on my new system and what framerates I can expect.

Awesome, looking forward. I really hope that the HD maps remove all of the remaining areas that are not supposed to be accessible, and also make terrain more realistic in general, since a lot of the random bumps, elevations and rock formations and such are rather odd on the current maps.

Do we have to re-apply to the Sandbox or are the already accepted accounts still going to have access to this build?

To be honest, today i already play in medium resolution and have no problem with less details altogether. I come from the generation where the games were made on Atari ... So resolution is not key. A game is about content and Fun. If i want to see a Nice Castle of ruine i Will go outside and certainly notlaunch WOT to see the same maps over and over again in high definition . I couldn't care less.

Now you just need to get your servers to send out the password reset emails.....

Performance is fine on all but the lowest spec pc. It is hard for anyone running old or slow machines but the biggest majority of people are able to run at more than lowest settings. We relly do need new maps, WOT is becoming very tedious, same maps over and over, same tactics due to map features driving limited options, map features making some classes almost redundant. Instead of adding tricky little developer lead show off functions focus on new maps. It seems that all we are getting in the sandbox is updates of existing maps, wow, I am really looking forward to seeing old maps in more detail with even more restrictions to movement.

And I hope it keeps in the climbing options, they are accessible to anyone who wants to work at it and give new options to gameplay. Also make some lights and TDs relevent again.

Agree about random bumps etc, and also like to add the randomness of whether an object is destructible or not. All buildings should be destructible with different levels of strength. A Scorpion shouldn't be able to demolish a stone building but a Maus should, maybe with a couple of rams.

More HDiness adds very little to gameplay, something is as dull in HD as it is in SD, just more detailed.

Most SB testers are anyway from ru server, so many potato pcs.

Looks good. PBR, Texture streaming, Volumetric effects and real-time lighting (Not pre-baked thank god). I'm guessing you have Dynamic effects implemented also.

However I do have a few questions:

Will we see improved object collision models? (And by this I mean improved to a new standard)

What Rendering API's and versions will be available for use with the game? I already know the game currently uses DX9 - DX11.

Since you mentioned future-proofing the underlying engine technology, would it be possible to upgrade to DX12/Vulkan?

Any expansion on Multi-core or using more threads per core?

One more question:

Can we pre-load the SB client?

I hope though that at least one tier X is not required to participate in that one, is it? :B If so, it'll be particularly stupid

Probably I'll get my 215b before that but anyways. Just asking :P

Why HD maps? All we need is NEW MAPS.

I think ive learned to hate all the maps in rotation at the moment...

I really dont get how you guys play them over and over again. Many of them are really bad.
