Hello all,

Question : do some of you practice the switch of crew between non premium tanks ?

I tried to use my type 61 crew on the sta-1 for the "×2 factor", and with BIA and vents it is not so bad.

What do you think of it, do you do it ?

I've done it with a few low tier tanks (up to tier 3), where I don't need a crew for many battles.

i do it very rarely and only at very low tiers when starting a new line. max up to tier 3.

not only is the performance worse in battle but also the crew xp is halved as far as i know.

all my higher tier non-prem tanks have dedicated crews.

There is a penalty on crew XP of 50% so like the others above i use it to play trough low tiers tank as cheap as possible.

I used  TD crews in mediums...

but only few times, when those XP missions were on... you win 24 games, and after winning 25. game, your crew gain 50k xp, or something like that...

used TD crew in REV, with vents, and food... wasnt too bad.
but i gain a lot, because 50k xp for new crew is big amount.

other then that, noup.

Only for (some) lower-tier tanks I just want to try for giggles.

Doing it for the X2 makes less sense than you'd think because of penalites - and is quite pointless considering how many crew exp. boosters you tend to get.

Block Quote

  • Vehicle Competence Penalty on Experience to Increase Training Level: A tanker crewing a vehicle that he is has no Vehicle Competence in will earn less experience from each battle to be applied to increasing his Training Level.
  • In a new vehicle of the same Type as that in which he has his Vehicle Competence, there is no Penalty if the new vehicle is a premium vehicle.
  • In a vehicle of a different Type as that in which he has his Vehicle Competence, the crew member would earn 50% less experience per battle if the new vehicle is a premium vehicle.
  • In a new non-premium vehicle of the same Type as that in which he has his Vehicle Competence, a Penalty will apply and the crewman would earn 50% less experience per battle than he normally would.
  • In a new non-premium vehicle of a different Type as that in which he has his Vehicle Competence, a Penalty will apply and the crewman would earn 75% less experience per battle than he normally would.
  •

I.e. you're better off just playing your Type 61. :P

I tried to eat my soup by dipping socks in it for the "LOLs factor", and with pasta and vegetables it is not so bad.

What do you think of it, did I do it?

Most of my gold spending goes towards crew transfers. Recently, 1200 gold gone transferring the 3-perk crew from G.W.Tiger to G.W. E100.

On a tier 9 and 8? No, then I take the time to train up a new crew instead. On a low tier on a new line that you will play 5 battles max with. Sure. Not worth spending more then the tank costs to retrain for that little use.
