...is so bad that when giving a compliment is assumed to be negative. (Yeah I know, clickbait)

Were with this dude going to cap almost alone on Steppes. He distracted enemies while I could DPM them down with Tortoise. Worked perfectly. At situations like that I try to remember send a message to whoever played great or did some great move that saved the game. I guess it's not as common as it should be, as he assumed I were complaining about him.

(Do send negative ones to those who play absolutely retarded or blame the team doing nothing themselves, not denying that)

Guess what am trying to say, just try to send positive messages to balance out the negatives. Dunno if this is even worth a thread anyway, but went with it nonetheless.

I do that too and it does not matter if it's one of my team mates or somebody who did exceptionally well on the enemy team. It's nice to be nice and yes it's good to do some nice things to balance out all the crapones we've made.

Yes also message players, green or red, if they have played well. Although don't if their battle count is 15k plus.

I reckon it's good to be nice to the newer players who I am sure are the recipients of less than flattering comments.

Sometimes get replies and sometimes don't. A bit problematic when you don't know what their native language is.

Suppose I could do what the Brits do when abroad, speak slowly but very LOUD, so could use capitals.....

Dear JACK_TIMBER,

SUCH A STEREOTYPICAL RUBBISH STATEMENT.;)

Anyway most Brit lads want to SHAG and get PISSED, when abroad and after 22 Yrs in the RN i can tell you that you do not need an ology in languages

to get squiffy and laid.

It is indeed good to get a positive PM, however maybe a godsend that i do not understand most. I am sure most are very negative:)

Regards

Tommy.

Dear Tommy,

Winston Churchill once allegedly said that the only naval traditions of the RN were "rum, sodomy and the lash".

HMS Eagle = 40 dismissals

The Bermuda case = 400 tars open to possible blackmail

The Singapore public health issue lead to the Admiral looking into it to say " "I have a strong [belief] that many of the men are not perverts but basically normal men whose standards of behaviour are thoroughly lax.""

So whilst I agree with you that one does not need an ology to get pissed abroad, it seems many tars have a problem getting their ships into the correct port.

Regards

AW

@OP, Ive been there, on both sides.

I do try to even up Karma as much as i can, and when i see someone i play well with, teamplay wise. It sadly more often than not, gets taken as an insult, until like you, i actually explain that it was meant as a big kudos. :)

Ive also found myself reacting negatively to a post, until it was explained to me, that it was a kudos. :)

Tl;dr Spread the love, it takes 10 positives for every negative. Theres plenty to do. :girl:

Must be a Steppes thing because I've had this as well following a battle on this very map.

We spawned south and pretty much the entire team went west and got held up. Myself (Skoprion G) and a Ravioli covered the east (medium) flank. We held on right until the end and were the last to die, being the only ones to break 2k damage in 5-10 tier 9 MM spread. I finished with 2.6k damage and 2nd in XP and he got 2.9k damage and top in XP.

Post battle I PM'd him and said something on the lines of ''WP, we tried our best but the rest of the team was sleeping''. His response? He told me to f*** off and not speak to him because he was top of the team in XP. When I responded by saying I was just saying well played he said he was blocking me. :( To be fair his response was in broken English (''dont tell to me'' was one of the lines I remembered) so maybe he didn't understand what I was trying to say.

The community of this game is really friendly. Out of 20 messages that I receive after battles, one says "gg", the rest is some "get caancer" or "kiill yourself" message. I know that I can disable battle chat and messages, but than I would miss important messages.

edit: I used to play Guild Wars (MMORPG), it had PvP but I have never seen caancerously toxic players there.
