The easy 8 is again my love :D and i just have to buy the t25/2 and t20 witch people say are good but what about the pershing ? Some say its crapsome say its good. But what is it really like ? If i come from the easy 8 will it feel the same ?

It's reliable but powercrept. Before the Patriot and Primo it was the king of ridges with great turret armour, snappy gun and silly gold pen if required. Now I haven't played mine in probably a year.
Still, not a bad tank and the Pattons are fine tanks as well. You like the line and you'll like the tier 8-10 as well no doubt.

I think you could have stopped at powercrept :)

It's a tank that you need to grind through in order to reach the Pattons. Not worth keeping, as a Patriot is everything a Pershing is, but then better.

It's okay. I have a crap winrate in it, but I actually quite liked it. The penetration combined with the gun handling is lackluster at best nowadays though. It's definitely not a punishment to play through it, but there's no reason to keep it after you researched the m46. Hell I take the Pilot over the Pershing any day, better gun handling and your turret actually bounces stuff.

I am grinding this tank: 47 battles, 68% wr and the gunmark is on 72%.

It works for me but in the new mm you see a lot of t9-t10 so mostly I need to use the APCR.

Yesterday I took it out to hunt TDs for MT15. No TDs, and also lost 4 out of 5. Will try again tomorrow. :D

M26 Pershing is still a good medium tank in tier VIII. Rather it's that tier VIII in general has suffered slightly with 3,5,7 mm. Nonetheless as alienslive shows the M26 Pershing is good enough that in competent hands it can do extremely well. Also I like the T20 at tier VII, and the recent buffs to the M48 Patton have helped it become more relevant.

Armor against t9-10 tanks doesn't really work so I find the mobility a bit weak part of this tank.

I liked T20 even in t9 battles. The gameplay is the same with Pershing.

But I don't recommend this tank for new players or who is getting to know in the t8.

Its a craptank, it used to be good , but now it isnt. You can even compare it with the tvp vtu and you cant point out with tank is better
Its not fast, armor doesnt work, the gun has bad pen, no dpm, no alpha. And the onr thing its supposed to have, gun handling isnt even that good( worse than tvp vtu for example).

Its a turd, dont let anyone tell you otherwise, however the rest of the line is awesome!

Reading the old reviews I was expecting it to be a good tank but that's the problem reading old reviews - WoT moved on.  T25 Pilot seems to be the new Pershing now.

I hated it.

Its not fast but it isn't slow. Awful pen as 190 just doesn't cut it at tier 8 anymore and run-of-the-mill 240 alpha. Nothing stood out.

I hated it so much it put me off of the Pattons.

well i must disagree here..   You just cant compare tvp with pershing it is an insult to pershing:)

sure if you have KR, pilot or t26e5 pershing can look like tank that cant offer anything but if you dont it is one of the best t8. i must say mm nerf affected this tank at lowest cost of all regular t8 meds. If tvp cant offer anything. I mean that tanks isnt good at anything.. Pershing can give you awesome prem ammo, good turret armor and just perfect VR. Sure it lacks mobility and rof. On the other hand vs t10 guns t8 shouldnt be seen only as damage dealer, it is must thing for them to be able to spot, assist damage and pershing can perfectly do it. This tank can even brawl vs many t6 (if you gonna ever seen one..) and some t7 while tvp is just huge free hp box.. like tigers.. for everyone it sees.

All in all it is perfect all-around tank and i just can only recommend this tank. To be honest it was one of the most enjoyable line to me. Also must say t9 and t10 tvs are really great mashines too but grind till them is much much harder.

It's powercreeped beyond belief and unless you load premium ammo, not worth it.

Sad thing is that more and more of the regular tier 8 tanks are almost unplayable compared to it's premium cousins. If I play tier 8, it's with a premium or some regular that I'm grinding.

Many regular tier 8 tanks are not worth it to keep.

Well, it's tier 8 medium. So not worth playing. Only mediums worth playing at tier 8 are Lorraine and Ravioli.

it can't be worse than the SP.... no really... i feel like im playing World of warships when i play the SP...

The T20 is very good, i enjoy it alot... and i really want to get the T48 patton, my grind to the T57 is slowing down due to difficulty with new meta to play T69. i have unlocked T54e1 but don't have credits to buy it yet.

Guess i will have to go through pershing anyways.. my fear is the current MM at tier 8 which is a killer.

But SP has Preferential MM.

That means it only meets tier 8 and 9 .... all the time ;)

sadly you can compare them, and the perhsing deserves those insults. Its bad.

awesome prem ammo that still strugles against heavy tank, the obj416 prem ammo is awesome, this one isnt, and you need it because standard pen is so bad. On the other hand vs t10 guns t8 shouldnt be seen only as damage dealer, it is must thing for them to be able to spot, assist damage and pershing can perfectly do it.
