The IS-7 was my first tier X tank.

When I first got it I put my terrible performances down to inexperience. Then as I got a little better there was little improvement in my IS-7 gameplay and so I put it down to the tank being slightly inferior in comparison to the buffed E5 and later broken Maus and Type 5. Then came the buffs to the IS-7 and my performance stayed at the same bot levels.

Maybe I just can't play tier X?

Then I got my Centurion Action X and well, night and day between the two. There is a big difference in the sample sizes, but I'm basically stat-padding whenever I play the AX as the numbers I pull in it are waaay above my averages while the IS-7 is waaay below my recents and averages.

So, I can play tier X but only in a tank that I click with. should I sell the IS-7 or keep it? What stops me from selling it is the amount of time and credits sunk. That and the missions (halfway through T28 HTC heavy missions), but I can't see how I am going to get the deal 'X' damage and kill 'X' tanks done in a tank I clearly can't play. I'm going to need a heavy, but the IS-7 isn't working out.

I had/have the same issue with my is7, i can never seem to get it to work and oddly do a lot better in my is4. The buff has helped a lot with is7 but not enough to tempt me back to playing it regularly , i cant seem to get the wz 111-5 to work either so im thinking its a clash with my style and tank. Coincidentally i do pretty well in the cent x and was suprised to hear its getting a buff.

Ive sold t10s in the past and regretted it but i suppose it depends on ur finances in game.

For me I think it is the gun depression. I played the Cent 1 and Cent 7/1 way better than I played the T-44 and T-54 as well even though the general opinion is Soviet meds > Brit meds. I just can't seem to work around the lack of gun depression. In the IS-7 I either can't get my gun to point at anything or I get shot to pieces trying to shoot at someone.

If you don't need the garage space, I'd say keep it. Mainly because it is a big investment creditwise & as long as you got garage space, it isn't hurting anybody by simply being in your garage. Also, playing armored heavies at tier X does take some time getting used to, simply because of the much lower error margin. Normally, armored heavies have a rather big error margin, but at TX this shrinks alot (unless you got Maus) due to the numerous high pen guns & big alpha cannons around. Got to be playing much more careful now & this can take some time getting used to.

Having a tank you never play is useless. I sold 268 and enjoyed the credits.

I've yet to figure it out myself, but besides not being used to T10 it's probably a "learn to play" issue here. Had kind of the same problem with the T-10, after all.

If you totally despite playing it  then sell it, but if you simply cant get it to work then keep it and someday it might click you on how its played. Don't do the same mistake that i did with selling and rebuying t10s

I thought it was only myself that couldn't get some to 'work'. Obj268 and Deathstar spring to mind, won't sell them though took to long to aquire.

I see no shame in selling tanks you don't enjoy. I am close to selling my Object 140 and T-62A because I have never really gotten along with them. I prefer 121 because it hits harder and can be played more aggressively despite lower DPM, worse turret and worse mobility. I'm fully well aware that the Russian mediums are considered better but fir me 121 is more suitable. I'm also close to selling IS-4 because I think it's just a very bad Maus. I've kept it with the hopes of a gun buff but so far nothing has come out.

I also purged a few tier 8 premium tanks recently that have no buyback option. I don't think "I paid real money for this" is enough of an argument to keep weak tanks in my garage that I almost never play and regret every time I take them out. How is that good value for the money? Yes, the money is lost but there was no way to get it back anyway and tier 8 meds will never be buffed into competitive levels so why keep useless tanks? Some people seem convinced that they can't sell a tank they have paid real money for "because credits are worth nothing." They are however worth far more than a tank that gives you nothing but bad mood when you take it out.

Feeling pressure to keep a tank because it cost 6 million credits or real money is dumb. Since your account is personal, each tank's effective value depends on how much you play it or enjoy it, not what you paid for it or how good your friends said it would be. If you never play a tank or it only makes you rage, the value is non-existent or worse yet, negative. Keeping a negative value tank is stupid unless you expect it to be buffed, reworked or if you intend to use the premium tank trade-in. It's no different from staying in a bad marriage.

I have several tier X I can not play, I like to play some of them even though I can not win as much as I do when playing lower tiers.

I have shelved some of them permanently, I still play a few that I should probably shelve as well but I will not sell them... They kind of keep my ego in check whenever I am on a roll.

I've sold the IS7 and the E100 twice.

IS-7 buff was not needed on this tank but I'll take it as i've had some great Clan events in it.   I keep meaning to buy back my E100 but I kill so many of them... and that puts me off.

I'm stuck on the T55A HT mission to block 12k damage.  I dont want to grind the Maus line or the Type 4-5 line just to finish the mission.  IS7 is my only hope for it atm but most I've ever blocked is about 7k.

If you dont like the tank, sell it, the credits can be ground again, you'll always have it unlocked.

I sold my T62A as its stats from Clan wars was shot to shlt, i'd like to buy it back again as actually preferred it to the 140

Except clickers. I have chronical lack of credits so I have lost a lot of credits when selling old tanks to be able to get new ones. :(

I have sold:

- T92

- GW E

- Obj261

- Obj268

- E100 (Bought back after it was buffed, sold long long ago)

- Maus (Should now buy it back when it's finally buffed)

- M48 (Bought back after buffs)

I wouldn't sell any tier X. You never know whether WG may buff it in the future or as in the case with the Foch, FV215b and soon the 183 retire it and you get a new replacement for free.

When that happens you get warning, Easy to buy back the tank and make sure its in the garage.

It is obviously up to you. If you're sure that you won't ever play it again and are not collecting tanks then why keep it tho. I only ever sold the E4 couple weeks ago as I hated that tank and I doubt I'd ever play it even if they buff it.

Not really...

Spoiler

Sure, WG would love to see us keep all tanks while grinding new lines. I'm bit tired of waiting every dust-collecting TierX to get balanced.

Mind you, the ingame finances aren't really improving if you keep grinding. The credits will just disappear at some point.

I laid my hopes on 121 but didn't happen fast enough.

Sell it. I sold my IS7 cuz it is expensive as hell, it needs so much gold, and i got one shotted in 30 seconds for 3 battles in a row..

I have sold the IS7, AMX50B, BC25t, TVP, Obj140 and Pz Kpfw 7

I only have the FV215b + T110E5 in garage, sold 6 of my 8 tier10s, some is really hard to play, 1 totally sucks, and others are just irritating as hell to play with.

what is the point of collecting tanks? If u do bad in a tank, or don't enjoy a tank, what the bloody hell is the point of keeping it? Having credits is a lottttttt more useful....  My friend sold 15 of his tier 10s the past few days, still has like 10 tier10s left
