Ever since the "improved" physics were added to the game, tanks have been sitting on their sides or are being overturned completely. This happens to light tanks more often, since they have the mobility to end up in disaster over any other tank class.

While there is nothing wrong with adjusting game mechanics to try and make things more realistic, however World of Tanks isn't the real world and I have seen tanks making a roll just by hitting an uneven pixel in the terrain.

Even tanks ( any class ) driving a bit too close to a wall can get on their side when the tracks just get a tiny bit of grip on wall/rock.

Maybe it's time to fine-tune the physics, so light tanks can actually make use of their mobility.

As people keep saying to me on the subject, this is an arcade game with arcade physics and does not pretend to be a sim with simulated physics.  Cartoon tanks will do cartoon tank type stuff, unfortunately.

I have seen many cartoons, which by their logic I should be able to draw a tunnel on a wall and drive through it while chasing enemies will crash.

They will have to come up with a better argument.

i used to say the same until i played the sheridan, the sp1c and HWK12 the tracks on those things are so thin that they can flip  with a breeze, couple matches ago an AX traded paint with me (HWK12)  on a scouting run. the result was my tank to swerve on 1 track and find myself completely flipped. ofc the idiot who did it  didnt bother with helping me so that was it.

One of the funniest things I have seen while playing WoT was a LT driving over a hill at high speed, flipping over in a spectacular display of acrobatics, landing on his wheels and continuing, and causing such a colossal distraction that one of the HTs observing the disaster unfold ended up driving off a ledge into the sea and drowning.

Physics is just fine now. Only the first version where they introduced physics, the physics was really bad. That patch you could easily fly with a wrong landing as result.

The current physics actually makes driving nimble lights really fun. Just watch where you're driving.

You can even flip a ltwt which is a very low tank if you have enough speed and travel over a gentle slope. Game physics needs a lot of fine tuning. Tbh tanks are too flippy imo.

I agree with the OP, physics still needs some fine tuning. I know they already adjusted the physics so tanks don't roll as easily but I feel the centre of gravity is still too high, epecially SPIC, HWK 12 and LTTB.  SPIC is a 9 ton tank ! It shouldn't feel like a slight crosswind will turn your tank over.

Also the grip on near vertical walls too much. Turning my tortoise next to a wall to grind out a light tank recently involved the 80 ton td almost flipping over the front. Just looks and feels ridiculous,

Or how you turn.

I've tipped my Bulldog over with erratic movements when 6th sense goes off.

I do flip sometimes but only when I screw up so it's a L2Drive issue.
Fortunately 80% of the time I flip my tank ends up just rolling back onto the tracks so I can keep going.

Last time I tipped over it was in type 64, as I was driving over a little boulder that was camouflaged behind a little bush.

Quite tricky!

Yeah, it's completely unrealistic.

I don't understand these HWK 12 problems. I did the full grind through that for the Leopard PTA and rolled it maybe twice in that time, usually while attempting a hard turn on a steep slope.

This isn't real life, this is russia! :)

Sure in real life tanks do tip over, but only when doing something their not designed for.

Problem in wot has to do with oversensitivity or perhaps an unbalance in the center of mass.

I completely understand a tank flipping over while driving at top speed and then tries a 180. However I see tanks tip over when not at full speed and making slight turns.
