Why in WOT there are only options to report.

In same games I would  love to commend someone for carry game or helping me out.

Why we don't have it or when we can have such option? It would be great even after collecting many commends you will get some small rewards ...

Good suggestion. Now watch WG ignore it :).

And what keeps you from doing that?

You don't need an extra feature to thank a player for playing well.

And that's the kind of feature that I would hold a veto against.

Would be easier to simply right click -> compliment than to manually open chat windows and start typing.

A good idea, regularly brought up on the forums for years now, never lead anywhere on WG's end I'm afraid..

I dont think that would work... honestly, the game allready prizes the best performances statisticaly...

if any commendation was delivered by "sympathy" there would be some very controversial and suspicius rewards

but... if you want to be nice to someone that helps you, you can allways open the chat window and praise him for the gameplay.

Often send someone a message if they have done well, only newish players tho, whether it be green or red. But yes a commendation would be a good option.

It's a good idea, and not everybody speaks all European languages so misunderstandings about what a pm says are overcome with a standard 'well done' acknowledgement.

Yep. I want it too. It would be nice to be for personal use too. I can rate players +1 and -1 and calculated for every battle than next time I play with them I would know what to expect. This Ignore button does not help enough

And what would the compliment be worth then? It would be nothing but a stupid like on Facebook.

I'm not against such a feature, it's a positive thing after all, but if it turns out to be one of those glorious and highly social "like"-features, I could very well live without it.

Well, the player receiving would feel nice, knowing there was at least one guy on his team who appreciated his efforts in winning the game. The game interface could count how many you've gotten, only visible to yourself, in your profile somewhere. No rewards for it, god no, that could be too easily exploited.

I see it all the time, wp/wd/gj etc. a lot of people also use the "afirmative" in the Z menue after you save/help them dispatch an enemy... all good stuff (I even message enemy players to congratulate them if they impressed me)

if you could collect "commends" with some sort of in game reward, it could be abused, and that's why it'll never happen IMO.

If it was limited to 3 uses a day, couldn't be given to people on fl or in your clan then I don't see an issue with it.

How on earth could it be abused? If it gave no rewards, was not visible to anyone except the recipient and only had a positive compliment? Ships has had it for a long time now and it's working just fine, no abuse noticed anywhere..

If you cannot give it to platoon mates and mates from your clan and maybe cannot give more than one to a particular person per month, how would it be abused?

But I also often message players during battle & after battle to say they played well. Even if it is a 45% winrate tomato camping E-75 full health near our base, if after I write to him in chat "E-75 you have to push now, drive towards enemy" and he does it, doesn't hit a single shot, but spends his hitpoints in a useful way so that we can finish the enemy, I will write him a thank you note.

I would love to see a sort of karma system implemented. the system of reporting negative play should also be offset against reporting positive play or attitudes. That would be a perfect way to help foster a more positive community... giving the player base the capability to commend players who contribute in that way.

Whether or not this would result in a reward I'm not sure... a simple thing might be to have a credit bonus for each commendation you earn in a battle. Doesn't have to be big but it would go some way to helping encourage positivity in what is otherwise a pretty toxic environment.

It is there in WoWs.    It has also been suggested many times here.

I do send the odd message of thanks.

Just send a message in the garage.

If that's too much effort, then do they deserve it?

On the (admittedly)  few times I've received a 'well played' message, it's meant more because you know the player actually means it.

And if anytime really goes above expectations, there's always the premium shop. ;)

I actually occasionally give compliments to members of the enemy team. Not stupid craplike "nice shot arty", but actually telling people they did a good job. For example, a conqueror had the right call of pushing into my hulldown conq and a platoonmate, but his autoloader teammates, who were most likely loaded as they shot at us right after, didn't feel like moving from their little rock so the conq went into a 2v1 instead of a 2v5 with 2 autoloaders on his side and died. I just sent him a nice message saying he had the right play and his teammates were just [edited].

I congratulate people too, but i'd love to be able to send them a gift of, like, 5K credits after a battle, with 2.5K loss on my account, if they think it can be abused.
