No, serriously the hellcat is one of them. I love it soo much. But somehow i become incredibly stupid when i play it against tier 6s or tier 5s, but when i see tier 7-8s the game become totaly different and i could say i do good.

Heres two examples:

http://wotreplays.eu/site/3875996#fisherman_s_bay-tinom5-m18_hellcat

This shows exactly the types of games i do with this tank when its top tier.

http://wotreplays.eu/site/3876009#mountain_pass-tinom5-m18_hellcat

This is the games it actually works. I mean ignore the fail at the end of the battle :D i knew i wasnt gonna get him.

Anyways this is strange for me wanting to face Tiger 1s, ISs, Tiger 2s and other tanks that are higher tiers :D

Its just a interesting thing that i saw in the game.

Anyways do you guys have tanks that just are better when they are uptiered :D ?

There were several of those at tier 3 - tanks that really shone against tier 5s - alas they were a minority - and they only could do so due to their weakness against all those tier 3 autoloaders/fast racing machinegun tanks.

I revell when I get into a T10 matchup with UDES at T8, city maps not so good mind you.

But I can use it's strengths, good camo, accurate fast firing gun, good pen and snipe from a distance.

A true invisible camper in these matches but if spotted can easily be 1 shotted.

Light tanks ofc. The bigger hp pool to get assists on the better

UDES. It can't brawl or traverse with ANYTHING so it doesn't matter if it's top tier it gets wrecked in those situations regardless but with nearly 300pen standard AP and the fact that you get some really meaty and slow super heavies at tier9 and 10, once it gets a good TD map, thrives as bottom tier and the fact the top tier tanks have so much hp, it's just a pleasure.

Unfortunately with so few TD maps and the increase in urban maps I really don't play these TD's much anymore including the Hellcat, there is just too many frustrating battles on unsuitable maps between those rare good moments.. not worth it imo.

Firefly needs to feast on the meat of lumbering t29's and tigers.

Basically anything that has very high penetration or a massive derp-gun (like arty) combined with reasonable mobility works fine or even better against higher tier targets. Anything that relies on armor generally works better against lower tier targets.

CDC for me, t10 matches means that less is dependent on me and there is more hp to farm. It took me a while to understand that the CDC is a pure support tank, and top tier in a 2 tier battle kinda sucks (unless open map with stupid opposite team).

T25 pilot is close to that as well, but at least smaller profile, some anti-HE armor and it can bounce the odd shell.

T-34, Type T-34 and Type 58 during their grinds, i was very happy when i got to be bottom tier (the first 2 have tier8 dpm at tier5).

For the Kv2 it doesnt really matter what tier you play but one shotting lower tiers feels safer then having big hp tier 8s in front of you.
Also I like the Luchs a lot more in higher tier games , the low tier games are most of the times ended in 5 minutes because everybody just yolo in.
Gather spot dmg etc is easier because there's more hp in game in higher tier matches.
I feel the same for my tier 5 german arty , low tiers are too fast games because less hp.

SU-85b before the view r ange nerfs hit it hard. It was glorious, outspotting any and all tier 6 tanks and most times if I stayed at the edge of my view range I could even fire without them spotting me  I think my all-time record is somewhere around 2500 damage in one battle. Nowadays it needs something and someone in front of it doing the spotting, but other than that it's still very capable of dealing punishment to anything it faces. Some tanks *cough* OI *cough* do require gold ammo to pen but that's to be expected when you're shooting heavies 2 tiers higher.
