Whilst I don't play ranked I've read the forums with interest on the subject and listening to this I don't hold out a lot of hope.

Ugh, the voice over is too distracting to even watch that properly. Either subtitle that stuff or mute the original voice completely, why the hell do they have two voices babbling over each other...

They seem to be moving towards giving chevrons to the losing team;

They are looking to increase the rank levels;

Very vague on rank protection;

Looking to separate people in a skill based way - no suggestion how.

 

Good point - smaller seasons - two week seasons.

Reviewing of maps to be include.

 

Also no new season in 2017.

From as far as I watched, both seasons combined were a success as far as testing and data outcome goes. Both setups had pros and cons. And they want to get rid of camping and encourage active play.

 

I'm a bit disappointed that they're so stuck on it being tier 10 only so far. I'd really like it to be tier 8, 9 and 10. All single tier battles, but a tier 10 match gives you more chevrons or something. It's really boring just playing the same tier all the time...

The big issue, where they have to be really careful is this proposed 'skill' matchmaking. 

 

if they make it so the average player gets easier games and the skilled players have to constantly fight each other that that would be a recipe for disaster, unless those skilled people earn more chevrons per game. If that's the case then you may as well reserve leagues based on PR (or some other number). Opening a can of worms imo.

Wouldn't that be exactly the entire point of skill-based MM? That you fight people of approx. equal skill?

I was under the impression that I really sucked this season.  I skipped days and in most others I played only 1-2 hours. I only achieved rank 4 in each week with 1-2 days to spare but I found the push to 5 to be too hard to be worth the grind. Despite that:

 

Season results
Points earned: 12
You receive the following rewards:
Bonds received: 4.750
Gold received: 2.000
Days of Premium Account added: 7
Personal Reserves: Additional Credits per Battle (x10)
Badges added: Gold, Second Beta Season

 

 

The season before I got to 5 each week and didn't got even bronze.  Now gold ?

Just lol ! I guess the season was hard indeed.  I still can't believe it.
