I'm thinking of doing a reset on my account. And no, i'm not doing this for stats! I've been out of the game for a while (2 years? occasional battle every now and then)  and with all the new additions and upcoming HD map rework i want to play WoT again. I know that you keep the premium tanks but not crews etc etc but what about reward tanks? Such as the tanks i got for mission, Stug/t28 HTC? And what about tanks that have been swapped such as Foch and upcoming FV215B swap? will i keep those?

edit; starting a new account is not an option, have way to many premiums to let them rust away in an barely used account.

Reward tanks will go, female crews will be lost, as it will reset the missions to. Foch 155 will go to, as it's not something you bought. Only things you bought will carry over. Like gold, premium time and premium tanks, and their BIA crew "that will get reset" if you had those, like the Crom B crew etc.

And why do a reset for that reason? Just play on low tiers and get into it again. No need to reset it all and toss 33K games out the window, just because you want to play again.

^ This

30k games just to "play wot again", excuse me for this but that's stupid.

Just create a new account if you want to reroll so you don't regret it since you don't want to lose your progress.

I really cant see ANY other valid reason for a reroll other than "pretty" stats

And with the changes to the current lines you will most probably miss out on keeping the older tanks when they are replaced so that's another downside too

You "could" just start every line from the start and work back through them if the "experience" is all you want without rerolling, theres absolutely nothing to stop you doing that which would have the EXACT same effect (apart from the pretty stats of course)

You do.

What keeps you from just continuing with that account?

Yup, you don't have to reroll just to play the lines through again, you just get new crews and play them over again.

Its not like the game says "NO!!!!! You have already played this tank once, you cant buy it back again after all

You can play through every line again at ANY point without having to reroll

Sigh.. if i wanted to make this a discussion about the why's and don'ts i would make another thread. Stats are just numbers, crews can be trained.. i don't care about those things. See it as a new play through, like the singleplayer game campaigns you start over.

@ Balc0ra Thank you for being the only one providing a proper answer.

@ jabster That doesn't say anything about tanks like Foch 155 or such. I've been through that and i couldn't find the answer so i came here.

Then don't go "I am not doing this for stats!" Either say "I'm an insecure scrub who wants to look better than he is" or don't mention the stats at all and just let people quietly guess what's up. But when you are trying to convince us it's not for the stats you can be sure someone will pick on it.

Stats are the only reason people reroll, even if they prefer to call it "wanting a fresh start". There are exceptions to the rule such as being banned or changing server but I doubt that's the case here. It's dumb to throw away all the progression you've made only to get more arty focus than you deserve, but the choice is yours.

And yet you could accomplish that by simply selling all your tanks, equipment and consumables, getting the tier 1 tanks for free with new crews and then just playing your way back through the tree

the exact same thing but without a reroll

That's not up to you.

If you reroll you will be called a failed reroll, you will get abuse for having high tier premiums with a low battle count.  And you will quit again after 2 weeks because you can't stand the low tier grind.  I don't see the point.

Anyone who claims to reroll " but it's not about the stats" is lying to everyone including himself. There is literally zero sense and reason to abandon hundreds of hours of work and grinding and to start anew except that pretty purple colour. If you want to "play wot again" you can just start grinding some new lines, if you've been out for 2 years there are plenty of new fully fledged lines that have come out during that time. You don't need a new account to do that.

but he has played in august already so he is not back after 2 years...

with prem tanks u can just skip low tiers with free xp... which means u can get that childish purple wn8 number so easy

he can only get 54% win on kv85..  he wont get purple

WoT doesn't have a singleplayer campaign. It doesn't have a story to immerse yourself into, which is the biggest reason why people replay that stuff.

Sooo... again: What exactly keeps you from just continuing to play on that account?

Yeah just throw 33k games down the drain.... improve what you got.. will make no difference.

Some of you need to learn to read "(2 years? occasional battle every now and then)" Yes i have played in august, like every month i do 1 or 2 battles or so BUT i havent played actively  for about 2 years or so, so there is that. I dont care about stats, the mention in the first post shouldnt have been made if i knew the kind of little shitstorm it would create. I've made my reasons clear and if you guys dont want to believe.. you can suck on it. Bye now.

You seem to have no battles in Czech and Swedish tanks - why not just start with those lines?!
