Appreciate the effort, but bit late there WG, it's been a while:

Granted, with tanks as unique and relatively hard to play as the skorpion it's a nice gesture by WG to give people some advice. Shame it isn't very good advice though. That's completely setting up the new and more clueless buyers of the tank to play it like a windowlicking base camper, which unfortunately is what many players did after the recent sale. It undermines the great strengths of the tank, the turret and mobility, and makes you rely on it's relatively subpar camo and pen.

Instead I recommend something closer to this: Posted Image

Swap out off-road driving for another repairs though and get BIA 2nd. Repairs is very very important if you ever get in a position where you might get tracked because the engine tends to go as well.

With such a setup you can be much more versatile in your playstyle, sniping on other players spotting or playing it like a pocket medium tank and taking some cheeky shots from a flanking position. This way your VR won't max out unless you run all VR skills AND food, but the skorpion isn't a good late game carry tank anyway, so that hardly matters.

So yeah, nice gesture, just not very solid advice.

I got mine without owning the tank or even launching the game, it was projected into my mind while I was asleep. I had this nice dream where I was on a romantic date with Miranda Kerr and she invited me back to her apartment to see her hamster and as we came in this CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR SKORPION G suddenly flashed on her forehead and it all went wrong from there.

Swap out off-road driving...

Umm, I'd disagree here. ScorpG turns way too slow, and some (old) test did show the off-road driving is a better pick as clutch braking. May easily be wrong tho, but MY ScorpG having now both perks turns like a ballerina. ;)

EDIT my ScorpG crew is from my Hetzer, and Hetzer got them from Marder II. 2500 or so battles.:izmena:

Well, yeah, but in terms of utility I think repairs has the upper hand. Although both clutch braking and off-road will have good effects on this tank. because the traverse isn't worth mentioning.

I will not stand for this injustice. Nobody's sleep deserves to be ruined by WG stealth placing adds in them. Burn the witch!

It's in the upcoming tanks DLC.

I just got it early because I'm such a cool guy and all.

your advice is not _that_ good also (atleast for beginners)... these tips are not meant for already good players :)

not that you are wrong but "your playstyle" is not something most players can do in a skorpion g

good/better players will play the skorpion g like you, even without your advice ... but the rest ( new players/bad players) wont achieve anything ... its tricky and you need at least some skill to achieve anything with this playstyle ...  WG should not giving tips on advanced playstyles that 90%+ of the playerbase can not handle ... with that setup the avg wot player is atleast somewhat usefull and does not waste himself in the first 2 minutes

Is it worth to buy? I cant decide.

If you have experience in high-tier battles and a crew you need to train. Otherwise no.

It's currently the only t8 normal matchmaking premium that is worth it, besides arguably the lorraine and defender. It's better than the defender in that it isn't objectively ruining the game by being too [edited]good and it's better than the lorraine in that it has solid alpha and better pen, meaning you will likely edge out in profitability and enjoyment of bottom tier games.

Also, wasting 70% of a t6s HP in 1 shot is dirty fun, but fun nonetheless.

Well, I had the same dream a couple of months ago and made it to the hamster part.

Not quite what I expected and still recovering from the PTSD I'm afraid.
