Spent hours completing the mission for 50k combat experience. Wanted to get it for my relatively inexperienced 112 crew. Had 24 wins already when I had a terrible game in the 112 and only did 69 damage. Thought theres no way I'm finishing in the top 10 with 69 damage dealt. So played the Rev to try and get the 25th win, intending the 26th battle to be in the 112 and collect the 50k experience.

Needless to say finished 9th in the 112 game with 69 damage and picked up the 50k on the Rev crew who barely noticed it.

Friggin' unreal.

Always wait to the end of the battle in situations like these. You can only blame yourself.

You made a critical mistake: you assumed that your teammates are not completely braindead. Never, ever make such assumptions in WoT. Never.

Look at the end battle results posted by Akil in the forum member on random thread. I just di 6 assist and 170 team damage. Ended up 14/15! So there has been a player more useless than me!:teethhappy:

I get loads of really bad games at night, usually a bit wasted and just playing with some clanmates for a laugh....when i do take it seriously though my mediocrity is a thing of beauty. ;)

SMAC = Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

Game was made in 1999, about 18 years ago so your estimate is correct.

This quote is played when you try to quit the game.

That game is a goldmine of great quotes, and not just quotes, along gameplay, game presents excellent, universally relevant philosophical questions. My all time favourite quote is Lal's short monologue about freedom of information:

Testament to how great writing in that game is, is fact that I even consider resident religious nutjob, Sister Miriam Godwinson, to have something wise to say. However that's still not going to stop my planet busters, mind you.

Since we are full of old references .... has anyone tried screaming in chat 'look, a 3 headed monkey' so that teammates are distracted from hp farming an enemy ?

I have always felt that mutated simians are a commonplace in WoT, making such attempt at distraction rather redundant. However, now I wonder how useful as insult would "how appropriate, you fight like a cow" be.

I guess the question really is how many battles did it take you to get the 25 wins ?

This thread reminds me off a battle I played a long time ago on Hidden Village, I drove my SU-100 to the green circle on the map to cover that flank:

I got spotted and one shoot by arty, 0 assist, 0 damage, 0 shoots fired, 129 WN8, I still wasn't worst on XP in my team and I regularly come across people with lower overall WN8 after 30-40k+ battles, which I find amazing.

LOL. My favourite faction is the University. The custom ships at high techs are just brilliant. And then you confine Miriam to some Island and since you have spare building capacity you make those Quantum Chamber Planetbusters... BOOM! And now it's an Atol without cities.
