the leopard PTA's gun misses too many shots.

that's all I wanted to say - not sure if it needs anything more to be added, except that it's very frustrating.

0.32 is nice for a tier 9 tank. Quite an accurate gun!

.32 not enough. i'd say learn to aim. the tank is not the problem.

have you ever looked at the soft stats? accuracy is not all that counts.

0.32 German = 0.40 Russian though.

I have BIA and vents... theoretically it has .29 accuracy

yet it can't hit a STATIONARY E75 cupola from 200m when fully aimed in. I also couldn't hit its LFP from the same distance.

missing when fully aimed in has nothing to do with skill.

the other side of that reality is enemy russian heavies with 0.40 accuracy guns reliably hitting my own E75's and VK 45.02B's cupolas from 300m away while I am wiggling the tank...

it's extremely frustrating.

to me it seems as if the gun just doesn't work properly.

for fully aimed shot, none of those.

Just RNG.

Edit

While disperion on the move, on travers and on turret travers are crucial for firing on the move.

Words are hard so I will just paste two videos about the issue you are dealing with. In short: it is what it is, deal with it.

It's not in WG's interest to let people have fun with paper sniper tanks. Come to think of it, enjoyment is the least important thing on their mind.

I understand what these videos are saying, yet I wasn't anywhere near that long range. I'm talking about 200m - two squares on the map, not four as in the vid.

what gets on my nerves is that far too often enemies are able to reliably hit weakspots on my E75 or VK45.02B with unprecise guns from 300m+ away while I'm not able to do the same with a supposedly more precise gun and just half the range despite being stationary and using BIA and vents.

I still have 136.000 XP to go before I get the Leopard I, but if it's the same dung, it's deffo not worth it.

Although... I did notice a big difference between Panther II and E50.

Used the same gun on both with same crew, YET the E50 is consistently hitting its target while the Panther II wasn't.

It is part of the RNG nature of the game. You just cannot rely on accuracy and have to adapt and act accordingly. I know what you are saying and you are not alone with it but WG has stated a long time ago in one of the Q/As that there is correlation between player retention and bad accuracy i.e. more accurate guns, faster the really bad players leave the game --> bad for the businez. It is what it is.

Great accuracy but the dispersion values let it down.

interesting.

let's play arty then.

one would however think that at tiers 9 and 10 players are already pretty much hooked to the game.
