2-3 years with the direction they are taking now:

-Overbuffing armour

-Making premium ammo compulsory

-Trying to drain your credits as soon as possible

-Releasing overpowered premium tanks

Cobra 6

I guess the issue people see is that the poll has 7 choices and 4 of them are suggesting the game is going to survive for max. a single year. Makes it look kind of biased and I am not really surprised people get this impression since 90% of everything is negative these days. I'm not saying that. Just saying what they are basing it on.

How long do you think untill WOT loses too much of its player base to keep te servers running? If WG would keep going in this direction, I would say not long.

Everything and everyone is gonna die, sooner or later. Me, you, WoT even our Sun is dying.

Just wait for it. If I look through the forum posts 90% are complaining topics. And I think all the problems with WOT are reaching a critical level as this point. Just look at the last update soooooo many bugs and no one from WG is responding. Its kinda funny in some way.

I can pick pretty much any game on steam good or bad and more than like over 90% of the first page threads will be complaints or shitposting...  welcome to the Internet.

Actually you sucker forgot to mention that you changed the poll.

Basically most if not all votes for four years were done when it had been the 'longer' option.

But thanks for clueless rigging, now every poll in the Forums are useless since you showed us that the OP can actually rename the voting options.

Yes and most news in the papers and on TV is bad news. There is a reason for that, people revel in bad news, whining, hearing gossip against somebody they don't like, etc. It is totally misguided to think that just because the forum is full of whine posts the game is on it's last legs. To start with look at the vast majority of players who aren't whining about anything and are just happy playing the game. It's a tiny percentage of the player base that comes to the forum, so a better analogy of how healthy the game is would be to look at how many people just get on and play it without wanting it tailored to their own personal and so often selfish requirements.

I give them 2-3 years.

They are wasting too much money on stupid tournaments and on a game that is luck base.

Some things in the game are broken. For example Type 5 . That is a fact. It is bad for the game. Doesnt matter what other people think. It is a fact.

I think if they keep releasing new stuff and take the marketing more lightly (don't screw up balance just to make people fire gold more), it could last as long as WOW.

Otherwise, 4 years.

Ill give it 5 years maybe more, quite possible it will be replaced with another similar game.

At present numbers are still huge and even as numbers decrease they will simply merge servers NA can merge with EU and eventually merge with RU and so on.

We have a guy in our town who walks around with a placard saying the world is ending tomorrow. I actually asked him what if it didn't? His reply was I will be back next week with my placard, bit like these threads ....

It's not a whine thread tho, the way they are "developing" WoT now seems like the way to end it's competitivness on the game market :)

I voted 2 years. The inertia factor will keep people here longer than they might otherwise stay.

People often quote server player numbers, but another important factor is how many new players pick up the game.

Cobra 6

Premium ammo will be the thing that will slowly drag the death of it.

WG made premium ammo available.

WG buffs Maus to resist some premium ammo.

Standard ammo no longer pens Maus.

Everybody shoots premium ammo at Maus.

WG introduces OP Type 5.

People complain.

WG "nerfs" armor on Type 5.

WG starts to add armor to combat compaints.

Standard ammo becomes less relevant

More premium ammo is used.

Prediction: Armored tank players will complain again.

WG adds more armor.

People use more premium ammo.

In 2019 the first shell to have 1000 pen is introduced.

In 2020, Type 5 is the first tank with 999 armor.

In 2021, the chat is permanently disabled as the remaining 10000 players install mods that spam "f* WG".

Same year, Serb cries that Trump sabotaged his game, Kekistan becomes a real nation.

2025 Word of Warplanes still less relevant than WT.

in 2150 WG goes back to making tetris where you get the parts you need for gold. Tetris is ruined. Civilization falls in chaos. Speaking of Civilization, Civilization IV still remains the best in the series until the end of time.
