Hello there forumites,

A clanmate of mine loves to derp  about in the t49, I'm grinding the tank myself , but i've always been a fan of low damage accurate guns so have not  really derped too much, also the high ROF guns tend to come on more mobile platforms

My question to you my esteemed colleagues  is can you advise of mobile derp machines below t9 that would be good fun for platoon mayhem ?  Vk30.02d perhaps ?

Thanks as always

Shane

One of the low tier Cruisers has a good derp gun if I remember correctly, also M4.

I used to play a bit with a dude that at the time had 2 MoE but now have 3 MoE on his derp Cromwell, I could never deal with the combo but he apparently loved it, can't be that much more mobile than that apart from if you go for an LT. The T-34-85 is also rather decent with the derp, as is the Sherman E8, the tier 5 derp MT's have quite decent mobility as well, for some wierd reason I loved them all apart from the Sherman III which I couldn't stand, can't really explain why.

From the first few, the Cruiser with the 3.7 Howitzer if you feel like sealclubbing

Tier IV has the Hetzer ... god I hate that thing even on tier V. My excelsior and my Skoda can't pen the front without gold.

Tier V you have a number of choices for derping :P

G1R has great armor and can sidescrape. I've even bounce a Birch Gun shell with it. Just watch out - you have a tall turret and the top non-derp gun on it is useless.

M4/Sherman III have decent speed and are your all-around jack of all trades. The armor is enough to protect you from weaker tier IV and III tanks and it's pretty mobile. The III's armor is angled a bit better.

PZIV has nice spaced armor and can also sidescrape. It also has great accuracy on that top non-derp gun if you get tired of derping in it. I think the german derp is the weakest tho (correct me if i'm wrong).

KV-1/1s and SU-85 have the best derps on the tier if you want. 122mm does some damage.

On tier VI it's an easy choice - either the O-I or the KV-2. Cromwell with 3.7 works great too. And I find the M4E2 to be the most enjoyable.

Tier VII i'd pick the St. Emil, may not be derpy, but the gun packs nice alpha.

Give the PZ4 a go, pretty annoying until fully unlocked with a decent crew, I go with gun laying drive instead of optics for an aim time to keep up with it's RoF when dropping bombs into packs of tier7 heavies from an unseen position but when top tier.. just cruise and bruise its SO much fun, especially 1 shotting T67 stat padders. It's not tough and it's not fast but a good solid supporting unit that can carry as top tier no problems at all.. only thing I need to get the hang of is knowing when to switch from HE to HEAT (don't bother carrying AP for any of the 105mm derp tanks btw it's not much point pretty much the same weak pen as the HE but the HE always does something bad to another tank at least)

Oh little Stuart, R.I.P. :(

That little bugger with its tiny accurate mortar was so fun to play. Permatracking toptiers, blobbing minor damage over hills, a highroll here and there. Should have gotten a nerf to max damage instead of a gun removal.

Besides that, the Derp Cromwell was/is kinda fun to play.

Sherman Jumbo. Stock gun turret and derp gun. Fair gun handling, good depression and enough turret armor to matter. You're gonna be really surprised how much staying power that SOB tank can have sometimes.

None is so much fun as the T49 as they all lack the mobility which is very important.

It was my favorite grind in the whole game, wanted the Chaffee, back when it was a tier V scout in tier X games.

I miss storming arties in the enemy base ... they should bring it back. The Chinese M5 already has a good non-derp :P

The AMX 40 lol! I really need to get that tank again. I had it once I think when I was a WoT week old player and remember it as being utter shite, but had troll armor (and btw it was me that was utter shite). Is the Duck a Derp? awesome if so...

Fresh from the fight

I wasn't even going to play this evening but all this derp talk got me excited lol. I hope you guys are happy, players needlessly suffered to the power of the derp they might not have otherwise. My favorite moment was the O-Ni that thought he would show me the REAL derp on the field but I tracked him before he came around the corner and he got gang banged by the team before he repaired lol

That's it though, the moment is lost I don't feel like playing any more, gonna go watch tv.. meh..
