M4a1 Rev need a buff

Its so slow considering its weight and the other premium mediums

It has no armor

Accuracy is also bad

I think they should give it Preferential Matchmaking. In tier 10 games it would be lucky to get 1 shot as you cant pen anything....

It's literally the third-best T8 premium, and the best of the ones that are for "common sale". Lorraine 40t is limited, cash-only, and Type 59 is... only through contests. Good luck, mate.

Seriously, it has super good gun stats and high alpha for a medium of any tier. Miles better than the CDC. Git gud...

Again?

the tank is amazing to play...

You get a very good gun han dling, and excelent shell velocity... 390 alpha damage for a tier 8 medium...

just play it like a skorpion... and you wont regret it...

in maps where you can use the 10 degrees of gun depression that tnak is absolutly amazing.

i love to play it on prokhorovka... i just go middle and use th slope to basicly farm damage on everything i see

Man, I got the M4A1 when it was released.

It was a great tank, a very different one but good, and people moaned about it being bad.

It got buffed and became amazing, basically the prebuff M46 at T8, as it had no armour just like it, what does it then have to give, exactly some speed (and the engine got a buff as well last time, so that is even less of a "problem" now).

But I guess some people can't be pleased, people used to complain about the luchs being a bad tank at T4, while it could easily deal with T8 MM back then.

All it needs is speed limit to 45 and reverse 18

High damage to shell cost ratio.  Very profitable if you have a decent game.

The rev is basically a TD and should be played as a 2nd line support tonk. I wouldn't mind 5km more top speed, I dont think that would break it or make it OP in any way, but it really dont NEED it.

This. The mobility sucks [edited], but the gun is just too good, especially shell velocity

Doing 1000 damage and dying will give you the same profit as doing 1500 damage in Lowe/T34 and dying = easier to make money because shells are 600 not 1000

I'd like around 212 pen to offset the increased amount of HEAT spam ''new & improved MM'' requires, but I understand that the tank is actually well balanced and any buff could possibly break it.

I've no problem with the speed and gun handling though.

M4 is a great medium/TD hybrid. Mobility is good enough and it's basically packing a rail gun. I do fine in mine and can't even remember the last time I had to fire gold.

Only thing that needs a buff is OP.

A wonderful tank, pen is slightly less than the skorp but if you choose your target then boom - a tiny speed or traverse bug would be nice, perhaps the traverse one would be less gamebreaking

it is one of the best balanced tier8 prem. Atleast it was before "almighty new generation" mm came. Now it is just another poor t8 victim for 8 tier 10 guns game after game.

Pen is crap, chassis is crap, but the shell velocity is insane.. Its literally point and click, never needs any leading. Great fun to switch between playing T-34-3 and this.. Makes for some nice ragequits.

Slightly less? Skorp can hold its own in tier x games (disclaimer: except when im playing it.. *edited*, while the Reva is utterly and utterly useless with 200 APCR pen and 250 HEAT..  Good luck with that. In tier 8 games its bliss tho.

Iirc all players asked for is better pen and maybe a bit better gun handling. All they got is what it really didn't needed as a second line support tank. Shell velocity is worth nothing when your pen sucks at distance.

It's a good tank, might need a slight pen buff considering the armour power creep and the current MM that doesn't look like improving.

But then that can be said of pretty much half the tanks on iter 8, sub 220 pen these days just doesn't cut it.

Pen sucks at distance because it uses APCR with worse normalization and a tendency to get eaten up by tracks .... when you shoot at range, just assume you have 150mm of pen when you hit the target, so go for soft targets or sides/rear of vehicles.

Mobility is fine, you are often moving at top speed since the engine buff, though i obviously would not say no to 45kph. :)

I'd love it to have better HEAT pen, 250mm is just not enough. 275-280 on HEAT and the tank would be fine.

250mm with the height the vehicle has, means it's hard to challenge even the LFP of a Defender.

I had a battle where i was a lower elevation (not a lot but some) than a Defender, and to his left side .... so a bit of angling on the plate, and 3 heat simply did not go through.

VK 100.01 P is same story, if it's even a tiny bit angled, you can't pen it. Can't shoot the upper plate in those situatons either, as he is angled, as well as the hull and the turret.

The height of the tank can work in your favor when you get the chance to shoot down on an upper plate or on the turret/chasis top, but that means exposing a lot of your tank, even with your -10 depression.

Idk, I never got on with it. Wretched to play due to iffy pen even post-buff. Never played it once I got Lorr 40t so traded in for S1 which I like a lot more.

Rev was always profitable, but rarely fun. For a hobby, it needs to be fun :)

Not exactly since Lowe has some amazing credit multiplier. I'm yet to see a tank that makes as much as the Lowe. Jtiger 8.8 and Type59 could if they had more pen.
