HT-12 - Block twice the HP of your tank but every scrub hits the 2 key and spams HEAT

I'm so pissed at this mission. WG made this mission impossible. Armor is irrelevant. I play in IS-7 and hiding my hull, but every tank just loads HEAT and pisses right on my chance of ever blocking any damage.

So, let me see if I understand. You play slow bulky tanks that have piss poor accuracy on their gun in hopes that all that weight you carry around is worth something and actually protects your front from the enemy.

NOPE! Every scrub bounces one hit and then the rest are all via the 2 key. Heat after heat afer heat, penetrating the turret. Back to garage, mission remains the same. With the current gold spam in today's game it is a miracle if you bounce half your HP.

Can we stop pretending that armor blocking is relevant? I don't want to grind Maus or Type 5 to do a stupid mission. I am not fixing your dumb game by grinding your broken tanks. I found IS-7 to be decently balanced with plenty of weakpoints and only one thing going for it: It's fontal armor, mostly on the turret. Yet that means nothing. Look, I have no issue shooting and hiding, but the retarded mission asks me to actually get hit and bounce. Bounce what and bounce how?

Can you please remove this Edited

You are talking [edited]. IF you are hiding your hull no tank can pen your turret. The only ammo that can pen the is7 turret is JPZE100 420pen heat and even that has to hit a tiny flat zone next to the gun while 95% of the turret is inpenetrable.

As per tanks.gg a lot of the front is on average 330mm. T57, T110E5, has 340mm with HEAT, T110E3 adn T110E4 has 375mm and Obj 268 has 395mm. Do you even play the game bruh?

I made most of the "HT" missions where damage blocked counts with either VK-B or E100.

and I didnt notice any difference in gold vs. no gold ammo

not sure, I think HT-15 for T55A took me some 2 or 3 months but I didnt exactly put any effort into that.

The turret front is not 330 average. Below is IS7 vs t57 heat. Edited . This is from tanks gg. The chance to hit the green zones by a t57 are minimal and they go even smaller when you start to move and not go AFK.

People won't even shoot at your turret if your're hulldown in an IS7 so pen or no pen, it's not the right tank for the job.

My son did the mission yesterday in his Maus at second try. First try he had only blocked 6k...

I'm stuck at that mission too, don't have the Maus and the type 5 doesn't resist gold ammo too well, I'll be reading this thread for suggestions.

Small. They cover 25% of the turrent and you call that small. And moving with IS-7 while trying to hit weakspots is not exactly productive, is it?

Tell me if you ever are in Sweden. I would love to share a pizza with you. You pay for a quarter of it and you get what you claim are 25% I'm gonna be soo full.

But your claim is easily proven. Just kick off a training room and show how paper the is7 turret is versus t57 heat. Shouldn't take more than 5 minutes or so.

I'm done grinding. I am not interested in getting the Maus for this. I just want the rewards without having to spend my next 3 years grinding for OP tanks. I did my grinding 5 years ago. I had enough of grinding for the ever changing goal post. They just mess with the tanks so much that a tank you get today will look nothing like the one you got tomorrow. And if they can't Edited  your tank (ahem, KV-5) they will Edited  all the other tanks around it so that you still end up with a steaming outclassed Edited .

Then you will just have to try and try again until all stars align and you can do that mission.

Or did I completely misunderstood this thread and it's in fact a gold ammo whine?

How did you pass geometry? This is not 25% of the turret. I even made it easier for you and assumed those tiny triangles in the sides are not part of the turret. Since mantlet is inpenetrable the rectangle in which the green pennable triangle is situated is 20% of the turret at most. The green triangle is 50% of that 20% so 10% Of the turret is penetrable. When you add the parts of the turret outside of the big rectangle the green area is below 10% closing to 5%. Learn basic geometry. Also you are not to hide that part. You simply need to move and not stand still. That will make it hard to aim at that part of the turret. It's double hard since it has no defining features. It looks like the side of the turret. Also if ht12 was impossible how the hell did I do mine with no problems and how come I never get penned in my is7 turret?

You seem to be counting the edges of the turret when you look at the picture. I have no intention is outlining the obvious to you to see that I was being very moderate in my description and the fact that the weak area is more than 25%. Oh, and I have no intention of ever visiting Sweden for that pizza, because it's full of "no go zones" and I like to get a pizza without having to resort to the military to escort me.

It's a very frustrating mission indeed. My advice is not to chase it. I remember myself being stuck on MT-12 for the T-55A for 8 months (set two enemies on fire, or one enemy twice). Had it all - crews with Deadeye perk, autoloaders, fast firing pea shooters - nothing helped. Then one day, out of the blue, while doing my daily grind, I set an IS-6 and a JagdTiger 8.8 with two consecutive shots in my T-34/100 Kostrukta ! A tank, which had no decent crew and was also a machine I loathed with passion.

You just need the right map, matchup and obviously opponents. I for one, avoid firing premium unless I'm fighting Tier 10s. T29 still works wonders for that mission.

Then look at my 2nd picture. Even if you don't count the edges of the turret it is still sub 10% not 25%+.

Also you do realize shells NEVER go exactly where you aim them so enemies will shoot and bounce of the edges of the turret.

Also please can you explain to me how I have NEVER been penned in my is7 turret? And how I have all ht12 missions finished and obj260 in garage?

For higher tiers there is a damage req. Best for ht12 is a tank with good side armor and lakeville. Just go on the lakeroad and angle at a 30 degrees. Maus, KV4 behind a rock, IS4, Mauschen all do the job.

Ahh, so being moderate is the same as making extreme exaggerations? Weird, that doesn't sound like the definition Iearned in school. Not to mention that your definition of a turret is rather peculiar. I could claim that the skoda turret is 70% impenetrable.

I mean, naturally you only count the thicker parts of the gun mantlet.

Makes sense though considering the rest of the nonsense you have no idea about that you spew out. I'm actually not even sure how a country with less than 23 people per square kilometer can be full of no-go zones. Unless you mean zones where people don't go because it is out in the woods and hard to reach.

Still waiting for that easy to do short replay where you can easily prove your point though.

And that's why you don't do it in a tier X HT. Take the O-I or something on tier 6. I did that in the Churchill VII since it's just 2x. As the gold spam is less there vs on tier X.

Jesus Edited. Sweden has no no go zones. It has been debunked by their police and polititians. I have a family in Sweden and it's [edited]. ALso I love the no go zone theory shifts every year. One time it's Sweden, Other France, Other London. Decide. Sweden is safer than any hole you crawled from.

Also you can easily prove us that it's 25%. Just go into some visual tool and show us the height and width of that triangle I have shown and then show height and width of the rectangle  Ihave shown. Simple trigonometry. Easy to calculate.

I actually re-did the T28HTC HT-12 today,  to get it with honours.

I chose to use my T29 because I reckoned it the best tank to do it quickly.

The trouble with trying to do it at tier 10, is that players will not waste their time shooting something they know they cannot pen.

I got the T55a one done in the VK 45.02B & the Obj 260 one done in the Maus.

They are the best 2 to get the later ones done.

I had tried in my other tier 10 heavies, but those to rule.

As players will take speculative shots at those 2, when they think you may be slightly over angling.

Of course you encourage this by wiggling.

The T29 or the T32 should get the T28HTC one out of the way with a bit of patience.

The IS7 should be well capable of it, but do not underestimate how a good wiggle at the right moment can help.

Good luck

I have the T29, but then everybody switches to gold and just aims for the top of the turrent and some lucky shots get through. Plus, you meet some very precise tier 9 tanks that just take the piss on your roof and just overmatch it.

I hate the japanese heavy tanks for ruining the game. I choose not to participate in the things I hate out of principle.
