Hey guys and girls,

Yesterday I was checking out Wot-Life and I checked some "Top players".

So what I saw was kinda shocking. I mean: If you come across these guys in battle with xvm view on you'd be impressed.

But is seems all to be a big hoax. So my next question is: are these guys cheating?

I cant explain the stats on these guys. Or at least the change in stats.

Now I've come across these topics, but they seem to explain a drop in wn8, not a sudden rise of x 20.

https://koreanrandom.com/forum/topic/41896-check-whats-with-my-rating/?tab=comments#comment-408506

Check for example: Example one  (I dont want to place the link directly in here so I dont name anyone directly.)

These kind of players can be found at : https://en.wot-life.com/    "Top Player".

Can anyone explain to me how this can be?

Or does WG need to check these accounts out?

Greetings Bacnaw

Its just wotlife buggs, if you check their tanks there is actually nothing with such a high wn8 so he cant have that overal wn8, just bugged.

Problem with the API data.

Take a look at the graph at the bottom, the amount of battles dropped from the 15th (10010) to the 16th (10006)

BigPrank is a streamer, so you can check him out while he plays regularly. I think he might be a re-roll or a reset account, but that's just my personal opinion. Massive respect if he is just a regular new player that just jumped in and owns everyone and everything in WoT. BIICHU as far as I know is a WGL Pro, so kinda natural for him to be there. Haven't checked the lower ones, but there are some miscalculation and API errors in the top 2.

Doesn't look like a reroll and doesn't look like a 1st account either, looks like he bought it or stopped playing it, and started on another if anything. And his stats aren't impressive anyway. 17% of overall games in the most paddy tank in the game (T67), another ~30% or more in LTs. Recent tank stats also pretty meh and overinflated by padding in lights. Guy can't even average 4k in any tank.

BIICHU on the other hand is a very impressive player.

New tanks frequently show up as tier 1 for a while, so since the super conc is new that probably means it's set to 1 and then with 4000 damage or something your wn8 skyrockets.

Yeah I noticed that too. Funky.

As for the loss in wn8 from that date Ii could have also meant he was returning to his normal game output. So one bump, and then play like he usually does.

But still, what  speedphlux said puts me at ease. I hoped for this to be true.

I'm curious though as to when this will be corrected.

For the guys hating XVM: I only use it to monitor my own improvement. I have disabled xvm stats ingame, so no stats and/or colors giving away anyone's stats.

I've found this to be less frustrating as you cant get discouraged when the game starts. I also hate the winers who go "Lost " in chat even before the game starts.

Now I just play my games, hoping to do better every game, and check those stats every few hundred games.

I know my own stats still suck, but iv'e found ways to get better by learning from watching vids, replays and reading up. So at least I'm trying to get better.

In the mean time I've progressed to be an average player. Not the bad one I was. So there's improvement. But man, this improving stats itself is taking a long long time.

For now I'm just happy with the way things are getting better. XVM for me is just a way to see how i'm doing.

( If ya check my tanks youll see i've only started to play tier 7 last sunday. So yeah, all those games i've played so far are up t tier 6.)

Anyways, thanks for checking this out with me.

Have fun playing!

We will never be over it.  People love numbers you can inflate by abusing the system.  Why play the game the way it was intended, when you can have a bloated number that does not reflect the way the game is actually played?

@ Bacnaw  XVM is not the issue.  XVM simply allows for for other things to be displayed. WN8 is the issue.

Simple as that,

Since wn8 does not count assistance damage simply it cannot correctly show reliable overall score of a given player. @Jam_in_a_Tank lul :P no offense tho man i am trolling here! but well thats the truth!

The new WoT formula for me is more accurate or purely just the win-ratio of a player could describe a player's overall impact in the battlefields, well randoms.

True, thats what I use it for. WN8 is the thing everybody gets so salty about and toxic to other "less good" players.

I found myself obsessing about this at one point. So then I remembered why I play this game and shut it off.

@niska:  You could use a program called "Wot Numbers". Its still actual.

You can look up your tank details and see how many shots and hits you had.

You do need a token from vbaddict and configure this under settings.
