I don't think this is a fitting reward for the campaign. Even thought it has the easiest missions.

Just look at it.

380 HP

The armor looks like it would stop at least some low-pen guns like that of an Excelsior, but in reality it doesen't stop tier IV.

The gun has a mere 110pen and it meets tier VII tanks.

So you either stay at range, load gold and pray you can pen and that arty doesen't see you, or you go closer and usually get two-shotted.

This tank has an extremely opportunist playstyle and I think even the Churchill GC is better than this crap bucket.

A different gun, or an armor buff would be welcome.

Haven't played until recently since I first unlocked it 2nd or 3rd day after the PM's were introduced.  I remember it being terrible, yet it seems to be far better now than I remember it and I've done reasonably well. So there you go. Either it's been buffed in the last couple of years or it's not nearly as bad as you're making out

its neither good or bad. What it comes down to is that there are much better TDs at the level (including the IIIB), so why would you keep it?

That is the reward tank? It was bad even when it was released. The only redeeming feature of it is the special MM, IIRC.

Not unless you're in a platoon with regular tier V tanks; Stug IV has PMM.

I've found it rather nice so far. Nice protection against derps thanks to the sideskirts, gun works rather well even in tier 6 matches. Shaping up to be my 2nd best TD after the Dicker Max on the first place. Doing better in it than the Wolverine, and that thing is a beast.

The badge you get is probably more valuable. :)

Well it certainly could use the actual armor in front. The one that's on paper.

When I got that stug-reward few years ago it didn't have PMM, so I sold it two minutes after getting it. Apparently it now has? Well, I still don't regret selling it.:harp:

T55A, T28 HTC and the Obj. 260 ... none of them are this bad.

It's not even a premium tank, if it was, then you could say "a free tank is a free tank".

The KV-1 is also a "free" tank and it doesen't suck.

The Tetrarch is free and doesen't suck.

Etc.

It definitely  has premium match making. You need a good crew to make up for the terrible view range. It is relatively nimble going forward and has excellent reload speed so against most Tier 4&5 tanks it is fine. It does struggle against Tier 6 heavies and you will need to have a fair amount of gold loaded. The advantage of having loads of ammo capacity means your u can have a pretty broad load out. However it is as slow as a elderly granny with a Zimmer frame going in reverse. I have just started using it again with my 5 skilled crew and it is definitely more fun than when I was trying to use it as a crew trainer.

It's a reward tank, that's not rewarding.

I don't get why people are so opposed to a tiny buff
