Possibility to win 3 of them.  WOW!!!!

Beyond that, today is the 26th of October.  5 more days until the mission AND November start, and NA cluster gets announcement.

On NA, when they had the contact list issue, players received premium account time, AND 200% XP boosts for 3 hours AND 1 hour.  (I received 15 for 3 hours, and 6 for 1 hour).

Will be interesting to see how EU goes by it.

Marathon Mission? On November 3rd, 3 days in, they announce?  (Just kidding, they probably will announce it on 31st)

Compensation for 4 days without the ability to PM buddies and clan mates?  BWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!  You will get a coupon for buying a T34B in a bundle.

Meh.

Different WoT regions run in different ways.  It has always been this way.  Why are people constantly shocked by this?

I am not shocked.

I am wondering why this cluster does not have the same attention to detail that the NA server has.

Well, less interest in your game in a region = tougher marketing campaign for that region.

Don't take it as an "unfair" practice from WG. The NA playerbase is severely lacking.

Different team, working with a different mandate to accomodate a different client base.

An example of getting it right:

Top of Tree on EU.

They give 1 month to get the tier 10, each month a different class, and players get to vote which line is featured.

That is 100% SUPER!!!!!  Hats off.  Bravo!!!!!!

The more they get players involved in knowing about specials before, knowing about events, the better it will be.

For instance, if you know that on the 2nd weekend of the month, there will be an equipment/camo/consumable sale, you can grind credits like a devil in order to be able to buy bulk and save.  Or be lazy and buy a fort knox.

Getting more info on non secret matters to players will be a net positive.

Of course, the NA server players get goodies for just playing.  Like the Tankrewards monthly missions, or the October missions in which you can earn up to 68 houses in which each house contains a bonus ranging from gold to prem time to emblems to small and large consumables.

I do not expect it to be same on all clusters, but it would be nice to get something similar once in a while on EU as well.  Just a thanks for playing, here are some cool little gifts from us.

No one will argue with you there.  One of WG EU's biggest failings is its consistent lack of communication with the player base.

I am getting stoked for the new in game event that allows me to win a used postage stamp from EU office.

WG see the each region differently

RU = Players are as poor as church mice and can't afford expensive stuff so WG give them lots of freebies and big discounts

NA = Players are rich but WoT doesn't seem to get much attention (small player base) so they need lots of glittery shiny things to get peoples attention.

EU = Players are well off, player base is a decent size therefore why bother.

As to the marathon itself, getting free tanks is always fun (got a free T44-100 and FV4202 that way) but I am not sure I would be particularly interested in doing any serious grinding for those 3 tanks. I have a normal IS-6, I think the T34 can rot until the mobility gets buffed (like they did for the Lowe) and the Mutz just doest excite me all that much. Also tier 8 tanks right now are right royally screwed by the MM so do you really want more of them to play.

I agree that the tanks might not be worth the effort since they are carbon copies.  The Mutz is kinda worth it if not bought, since it is a nice little t8 prem.

You are also right about the analysis of the clusters.

Having said that, being pampered once in a while would be nice.

Yes, and it's the wrong way.

Other games have different server regions too, yet events and sales are unified and it works wonderfully, cause there aren't any threads about server disparitys or complaints in that regard. But WG still hasn't reached the 21th century.

Because the cash on EU is flowing regardless of whether WG puts effort in or not, and as long EU has a stable playerbase there will be no need to give us the same attention other regions receive.

It ain't only NA that gets better deals and events, SEA too and i don't even have to mention RU.

This might be the case, yet if you you treat the other playerbase like second class cash cows, you stir up some $hit.

Time and time proven with WoWS and after several debacles, WG hasn't learned the lesson.

If you treat players on one region bad, you eventually end up having two regions who are severly lacking.

In the EU server we can't even have a [edited]x5 XP for the first win during the entirety of gamescom because that would spoil us.

We couldn't even get a 'X5' for the first win during Dunkirk - despite the lack of a 'X4' icon meant sending in-game messages, making news topics and forum posts.

With the recent events in mind, I wouldn't be surprised if this entiire forum went up in smoke and "moved to social media for better interaction and feedback from players". With the lack of a final update on that bloody chat/contacts issue we're left to assume that WGEU can't be arsed to fix stuff until the weekday comes, if they even knew what they fixed. I'm sure there are reasons for not doing it until then, but until we hear about that I'm gonna assume that incompetence and ignorance are key factors rather than "it's hard to fix stuf".

Least they can do. If you go on the NA forum and search for contact list topics. You might notice they have had that bug for months. It's the most common complaint they have there. We only had it for a few days.

As for the Marathon? Well NA always have a marathon around Halloween. But this was... bigger then what they normally have. As they have marathon events, or premium tank related events rather often. They also have the tank reward system. That gives you a free premium for simply doing tank reward missions each month, rather easy missions, but you need to do it more or less every day for a month to get even a tier 6. If they did not have these events. I suspect NA would be dead and the plug pulled ages ago.

But I highly doubt we get anything. As we did not get anything last year either. iirc they had the T34 one last year. Is it unfair? Well maybe. But NA needs events like this to stay alive. Premium tank events is it's life support. That and they have the Ace medals missions, and a ton of other emblem missions more or less constantly.

Then again... if we did get an event like that. You know they would give the IS-6B just to troll around anyway.
