It all boils down to respecting your customers.

I have zero doubt that there is a team that determines the specials in advance.  Good specials or bad is not the point, but getting the info out in the sneak peak.

W/E 1: Special to commemorate the battle of XXXXXXX, X3 for 1st win, discounts on these tanks, discounts on consumables.

W/E 2: CREW CREW CREW, X2 CXP, discount on FXP conversion and FXP to CXP conversion.  (note, both are on same W/E, will be more profitable for WG, since players will likely buy gold in order to convert locked FXP to unlocked, and then to CXP)

W/E 3: .........

W/E 4:.......

You get the drift.  Giving players an idea ahead of time, and showing that the staff at WG gives a hoot.

By the way,

An event to win the black edition tanks is better then being offered to buy them no?

Free in money, cost in time.

Win 1 or 2 or 3, depending on the amount of time you put in.

Free.

Marathon Mission? On November 3rd, 3 days in, they announce?  (Just kidding, they probably will announce it on 31st)

I hope at some point you'll realize how many days there are in November.

um.  I meant the 31st of October, should have been clear, but as it seems you are more interested in a weak troll attempt.

No, you didn't mean that and that's clearly inferred from context.

In the EU server we can't even have a [edited]x5 XP for the first win during the entirety of gamescom because that would spoil us.

Yeah whatever happened to the *5 weekends.  Use to be at least once a month.

WG see the each region differently

RU = Players are as poor as church mice and can't afford expensive stuff so WG give them lots of freebies and big discounts

NA = Players are rich but WoT doesn't seem to get much attention (small player base) so they need lots of glittery shiny things to get peoples attention.

EU = Players are well off, player base is a decent size therefore why bother.

As to the marathon itself, getting free tanks is always fun (got a free T44-100 and FV4202 that way) but I am not sure I would be particularly interested in doing any serious grinding for those 3 tanks. I have a normal IS-6, I think the T34 can rot until the mobility gets buffed (like they did for the Lowe) and the Mutz just doest excite me all that much. Also tier 8 tanks right now are right royally screwed by the MM so do you really want more of them to play.

IS6 and T34 are expensive. You can use them in trade-ins.

Good point, didn't think of that. Still in my case it doesn't change much as there aren't really any premium tanks I want right now.

The only way to find out there is a mission going on EU region is to play a game and then look at the rewards to see what is happening. After a few games you have probably been able to find out requirements. Then you fulfill requirements and see what you get.

Earlier we could look at mission tab to see what was needed for mission. But since WG ruined that, we can't.

Dear Mr_ Beefy.

Will you please stop, with the professional, informative, and strategically constructed good ideas.

We are EU mushrooms, kept in the dark and fed on WG erm well you know.

If WOT was my train set, then I would hire you now.

Regards

Tommy.

Did the NA server get a free T34-85M for drooling on the keyboard for a couple of weeks like we did?

They once had a log in event. 50 gold every day and 4 weeks in a row would give you a free T14. Don't think any of my american clan buddies actually managed that. :amazed:

I am not shocked.

I am wondering why this cluster does not have the same attention to detail that the NA server has.

Because the personel who run the public relations/customer care end of WGEU are based in Paris.

If you ask a Parisan for assistance, help, advice, news etc, you are likely to be meet with a shrug of the shoulders and "pfft".

WGEU should be headquartered in an EU country with a better service culture than France.

The graphic below suggests of the EU countries maybe Denmark is the one WG should have chosen;

Israel is 7th?  NO FRIGGIN WAY!!!!!

With all due respect to my country, which I love nearly as much as I love my family, the people who made that survey were as drunk as football hooligans.

Dear Sir Arthur,

I do hope your experiences with the short, fat, bald emperor in a previous life have not coloured your views.

I however, have met several French gentlemen in my travels.  Most did not even bother with a "pfft", and we resorted to the international language of insults.

Amazingly they seemed to understand me far better than when I used the Queens English/ pigeon French.

We parted on usual terms, by telling them to Foxtrot Oscar, and we would See You next Thursday mon ami's;)

Denmark, top beer, top totty, one of my Hall of Famers runs ashore gets my vote, as does John Lewis if it qualified as a country :teethhappy:

Regards

Tommy.
