Last patch and before I had an average FPS of 110+.

Now (0.9.20.1.1) the FPS is constantly ticking between 72 and 73 FPS.

Is someone else having a similar issue or any ideas how to solve this problem?

Trying my best to not make potato jokes.

Only real engine change from what I can gather was to the sound. Maybe start the errorchecking there? Set it to low quality, 2.1, disable the voice chat... something-something.

I tried to set all the graphics settings to minimum, and I only managed to get slightly above 90 FPS...

I'll try that.

Unfortunately that was not the problem. Just to be sure my computer is not suddenly frying itself, what are the highest acceptable CPU tempratures?

Depends on the CPU and computer. My old i5 throttled around, uhm, 85-ish C. Laptop, though. Should be observable with a CPU monitor. Alternatively check if this patch coincided with the Windows update that enables 'core sleeping', or whatever it's called. I've heard that can cause some trouble for gaming.

GPUs can go quite a bit higher. Not too sure what common temps are nowadays, but WoT shouldn't really be able to overheat much anyway.

Tempratures seems to be sub-60's. GPU should be fine as well, sub-80's. I'll take a look into that Windows update, I'll also update my drivers.

Regarding the sound topic...

Do you happen to have an Nvidia card and perhaps the Nvidia HD Audio drivers installed: Device Manager ---> Sound, video and gaming controllers --> NVIDIA HD Audio

If so you might want to try removing it and letting Win install the generic drivers instead since it have caused issues with WoT in the past for a few people, me included.

The game should run much better than that, and for some reason it feels quite choppy for some reason.

I do have a NVIDIA card, and that HD audio installed.

I can also add that mods should not be responsible for the performance drop, I tried running in safe mode (no mods loaded) with the same result.

Depending on what card you have you can either uninstall it directly from the spot I mentioned earlier, but you might not be able to, in that case you should find it under system devices instead and it should be possible to do it from there. Alternatively do a reinstall of the entire Nvidia driver package instead and deselect the audio drivers when you install.

I had similar issues that you have but I also had weird crackling noises at times, now I run with the generic Win drivers and WoT as well as everything else works fine.

I updated the GPU drivers and restarted the PC. More or less the same performance as before. Thanks to everyone for taking their time to help me out!
