I'm thinking of grinding a TD line, but can't decide which one to play, I need something fun playing.

I'm currently deciding to grind either T110E4 and maybe Obj,268.

Is it worth it?

Please suggest some enjoyable TD trees.

Thanks in advance.

Go for something with a turret. I think both the American and British line are quite good now. British line might be a bit more difficult because the lack of armor. German line is also an option, but other 2 are better atm.

The best TDs are those driven well by their driver. :)

(not kidding, TD designs are all rather playstyle sensitive)

Thank you for the input. I really appreciate it, sir.

T110E4 is a very good td imo, the line is quite enjoyable, the t30 is great and the E4 more than holds its own in the current meta, its got a nice gun similar to the e100 gun when gold spammed but with E4 you dont need need to spam gold ammo

I also find E4 very cool and wish to try it out, thanks for the input!

E4 and 268 are terrible.

E4 is a bad E100 and 268 is just the opposite of fun to play.

If you want to play e4 you can just get the e100 and have a tank that is really similar but 20% better

Pick one.

Jokes aside, there are few lines that are consistently 'assault TDs'. Tons of not-so-funny tanks to grind before that. I'd rather go for a fast heavy tank and press '2' twice. You can usually do way more with them. :)

T8 to 10 Swedish TDs are fun, can be a little map dependant though. In siege mode, which takes getting used to, they are like a turreted TDs. Great for sniping and using their most excellent camo.

The very best TD line is the one that ends in the T110 E3, but many others have jems along the way. Personally I think too much is made of 'turret or no turret', they are both equally effective if you are playing the tank like a TD, and not trying to play it like a medium or heavy tank because that is what you are used to. TD's with turrets have tragic turret traverse, but with all TD's it is important to increase hull traverse with Clutch Braking above all other driver skills.

263 is good, but that might get ruined soon, so hold your cards on that one I'd say. e4 line is worth it if only for the T30 because it plays like a heavy tank. Charioteer is pretty good and they've improved that line, but I'm still not sure any of the other tanks are good now and the FV4005 is still a broken one trick pony. German TDs are still quite prolific, so I assume they are good.

Whatever you do, please don't be a red-lining bob. WG insists on making the only good long sightlines be bordered by red-lines, but that just causes really boring and slow gameplay. It's very hard driving TDs more forward, notably because of the lack of useful positions for you, but it's much more engaging.

TDs are not fun because they lack versatility, the E3 probably being the worst with no mobility, no side armor and a weak lower plate, it's a one trick poney.

They all have their moments, but you'll get the same amount of fun and frustration .

Medium tanks have always been, and, even more so since the introduction of tier Xs, the best tanks to play.

Disregard this if you're an outstanding player.

Outstanding players can make any tank work.

Or so I heard.

It is all about what you like.

there is no one perfect line.

Best TDs are :   T67 , Hellcat ,  WTPZ (need lot of practice)  , Grille if you are good player (very unforgiving)  .  Russian Line only liked  SU85B and Obj 704   the rest of line is meh

and if you like Armor   E3 or E4 or JPZE100 , Not snipers

Never Played British TD but after this update i might.

If you like to carry and have better results go MEDs. TD are becoming thing of past .

You can see from my battle count that I have most tier X tanks. I have played most but not all td lines;

USSR 263 line - most weak, about to be radically changed. (I am up to tier VIII). Would not presently recommend this line.

USSR 268 line - assault tds, some real gems (I really like the Object 704 & SU 100) - no turrets.

German - Grille 15 waffentrager line - paper tds, some great turret tanks in VIII, IX and X, tier VII is a dog. I have kept the VIII, IX and the X.

German - Assault tds - no turrets some fun tanks, no dogs. Only kept the X

UK FV215b (183) - Assault line = no turrets and worse than the equivalent USA line. Need buffing. (I am at the tier IX tortoise). Not recommended.

UK FV 4005 - turret line with poor armour = Challenger is as bad as the St.Emil. Cannot recommend the line on the whole, one tank that might be OK. (I am at tier VIII)

USA T110E4 - with turret - some decent some good. (kept the tier VI Hellcat for PR missions). I have the X.

USA T110 E3 - without turret - T95 (aka the doomturtle) since it's recent buffs is now an OP tier IX. I have the X.

French line - I got the tier X before the recent buffs, and they were bad to play through. I have the X.

Swedish line - very map dependent, under the right circumstances OP, on a city map, not so much fun. (I am at the tier viii).

Did you play that line before they buffed them? I'm currently at the Jg Pz IV and the DPM it have at tier 6 is insane.

Yes I played through that line years ago, I had a japdgPanther in about 2011/2012? Yes the jadgPzIV is a good tier VI, and yes the JadgPanther is a very good tier VII. I do not recall having that much fun with the jadgPanther II or the Ferdy. However, I recall my time with the jadgTiger (tier IX) was very enjoyable for a casement td, which if you knew what you were doing with it could be made to work well. All of this is subjective as obviously my own views, but they are measured as against all the other td lines that I have played.

Ah ok, I got that feeling by reading your recommendations since my experience differ a bit with some tanks, which is rather understandable due to some being buffed/nerfed over the years. You tend to write rather good recommendations in threads like these so I felt I had to ask :)
