I'm asking because of the lack of communication, lack of teamwork, apparent lack of awareness and general wallyness of teams. Does this describe 95% of random battle teams? Yes. But in Leviathan battles it's more pronounced. It's easy to end up on your side screaming for help with people just driving past, not even reacting when you lose patience and start cursing their mothers. Then as you watch, they drone around the map, not achieving much, happier to fight minions while Leviathan drives unopposed go the gate, arriving there with >18,000hp. So are teams mostly made hp of bots? Do people just not understand the mission?

I've seen several typical player-types in this mode:

Hero-Type:  First at the Leviathan, first dead, ignored all minions

Creep-Killer: Hunts down all creeps and collects all healthpacks, regardless of what happens

Lone Wolf: Tries to take out the whole set of minions at the portal alone and dies trying (usually noone helps them)

Last-hitter: Does no damage at all, unless he can steal a kill - even if that is pretty useless against minions.

Teamplayer: Rarely seen, and if, usually part of a platoon. Leaves Healthpacks in useful locations for the leviathan battles, works together with others.

Doofus: Drives in front of the Leviathan and gets rolled over - then complains

Tryhard: Wants the lasthit on the leviathan, nothing else. Sometimes even shoots minions, usually though pushes teammates out to let them take aggro from the boss

Other than that, there seem to be two version of the tactis: cleanup everything, then take out the boss and take out everything in immediate reach and kill the boss before he reaches the portal-doughnut.

What you expected? All community is thrown into it.

Though you should just test multi turreted tanks and leave this mode. Killing Leviathan 10 times is similar to score 150 goals in Soccer mode - you need hell lot of games despite even being a dousch and wait for killing shot.

I've lost twice now, both times I was last tank left with most damage, 3 of our tanks were dead before we ever even spotted the Leviathan because I have no idea how...

I've lost quite a lot in the beginning. Now it seems to be better.

Great story by Xandania :D but sadly it is true. Most games I lost was because others were just focussed on minions for ages and left Leviathan on it's way to the portal. Sometimes I even stopped playing because I knew we had now chance and my only goal was to win to gain some credits after 5 wins. In the end some of those guys were like "wtf Bennie?!", like it was my fault we lost.. they really had no clue how to play..

stops playing during battle...blames team..and laughs at them while claiming some greater knowledge in the l2play stakes. Yeah I think we found the problem in your teams.

Played 5 matches, lost 3, I think. Although I told people what to do after I played 2 matches.

They kept camping behind the enemy, doing a whooping 500 damage to it.

Conclusion: English only server. Now.

You expected to see "team work" known how randoms work?

Ignoring them is equally bad at times. As if you have your team focus on only him instantly, it can go south fast as well. I've lost count on how many times I've been hit by an un-spotted minion from the flanks, only to move and be hit by another because everyone goes for the boss. And your team dies from minion fire, not from the big guy. Or when you get to the protal, you can't fight the Leviathan, because there are still 5 minions there killing you off. Clear the gate area, then town. Then gank him. I've had no issues winning like that, even after he gets to the half way point. The more you can focus on him without getting hit, the faster he dies. Then it's just an aggro game.

Issue usually is that most still don't know where to hit him. And most follow behind him so his gun is always over the back. Vs going on the flanks or to scatter around. If I follow him on the side, the second he turns his main gun on me, the people following him usually gets 5-6K off him fast as they have the side turret.

To be fair, the amount of idiots that I encounter in regular Random Battle, is pretty adequate show of what to expect in a PvE game mode in World of Tanks.

I am not surprised. I've seen it all. After 3 days of playing this mode, I've automatically developed a certain patterns I take my vehicles, depending on where I spawn from and which route Levi takes. But even after 3 days of playing this mode, I still see Humpty-Dumpties, trying to shot the Levi in his butt, penning it only with their main guns. Luckly, I've already done the "kill the bugger 10 times" mission, so I'm only focused on dealing damage as much as I possibly can. You'd be surprised how much you can actually do in this game mode, to the Levi himself alone, and yet still loose the game. My record was 10,983 damage dealt to Levi alone, out of 19,237 total. You have a game like this and you wonder - DAFAQ are these people doing ?! And then you quickly remember every single Tier 10 game on Fjords, where you spawned south-east and watched your Top Tier Heavies, TDs and sometimes even Mediums and Lights, just camped the K0 the whole game and when you and everyone else that tired to push out on a flank eventually died, they just say "noob team" and "stupid idiots".

Yeah, not really surprised.

Doesn't happen often. But I did have one team where they all died fighting bots and never even got to the Leviathan. One was just driving around collecting crosses until he got killed...

I have probably never lost from minion's fire. In most of my games people cleared everything and then we failed to kill the leviathan in time because on top of people being slow with killing minions they dont even know where to shoot.

In most of my lost games we usually had like 2 almost full hp people 300m behind leviathan sniping him from the back and surprisingly only managing to penetrate with main gun and not every time... When you have 4 people remaining and 2 of them only shave off 300+ hp every 12s while the remaining two are constantly getting focused by leviathan so they cant make use of the dpm no wonder you will lose... In one of my games I managed to do over 20k damage while ther rest of the team failed to even reach my damage with all of theirs combined...
