Thank you for making bonds become available to Average Joes like myself. All we need to do to earn them is to win a medal. Simple! And in the week or two since this giveaway started, I have achieved precisely two of these medals. According to my calculations, it will take me approximately 1100 weeks to be nowhere near affording any equipment.

Has anyone ever used bonds to buy enhanced equipment? Is it worth the tiny improvement over standard equipment? And how many years will you have to play to afford the demounting cost?

I got enough bonds to play with directives on the tanks that I want, and that's enough for me.

Definately doable, but you need to get up to Tier X and play more than 2 games a day on average... and at least be average (ie; 49% WR, not 46)

Even then, the Bonds from medals are very low in number even for the active players, but I tend to see these as a 'discount' once I do finally unlock that Tier X tank. I tend to get at least a few Bonds every day, but even then that means that I need to play at least three or four years to get a single improved equipment through medals alone. Yeah, not really going to happen, but I will get the STB-1 eventually, so there's that too, which should increase the pace for bonds farming for me as it allows me to both gather Bonds in Tier X only games as well as farm some in Ranked whenever the next season pops up.

Get better at the game and you might increase the number of bonds you receive.

Otherwise, I would, and in fact, do, use the bonds for directives. It allows you to play with sixth sense straight away. That is a far greater improvement than any of the improved pieces of equipment can offer you.

Not sure if the improved equipment is even worth it tbh but I suppose if you stop thinking about them and then play as normal they will eventually build up enough to buy something every 6 months or so.

Yeah the bond income is trash. Tier X or not, it's still trash. In the other hand ranked rewards was freaking high in term of bonds. That's pretty sad because WG makes you think anyone can access to the top equipement, but in reality only few players have those atm.

As for the enhanced equipments, you'll notice a difference only on tanks with huge drawbacks (Like a VSTAB on a tank with a really long aiming time).

If you're not interrested into directives, just play normaly and wait for WG to implement more ways to earn bonds I would say.

Just like free XP let them build, got one or was it two last night at T4, so eventually they will become useful.

The only realistic place to earn bonds is ranked sadly, grinding in there over the 4 weeks will get you at least 2-3k bonds, something that will takes 1000s and 1000s of games in randoms.

Even playing lots of tier 10s the bonds income is pathetic, I've just ticked over past about 2.2k bonds and probably half that came from a handful of ranked games.

They need to at least double standard bond income for all tier 10 games and they need to x10 if not x20 the bond income from medals.

You should be getting 20-30 bonds for an epic medal, not 1-2.

Especially as for many they are not going to play ranked until they fix ranked into something that isn't complete cancer and all about camping.

Always said the improved equipment was only ever going to be accessible to the no lifers, people that can afford to spend 4-5 hours a night in ranked over 4 weeks and probably play 70-80 games day.

Well next time play better on ranked mode. as a tip, play arty, it's the easiest to get bonds on. you will reach tier 5 in no time :)

Ya I forget what the price is for something decent like the advanced rammer or verts that might just be the winning of that 1 extra battle every 1 in 10 or whatever. I think it was 5k? 7k? Anyway picking up 3-5 bonds once every several battles is pretty much a case of I totally ignore them.

Maybe in about 7-10 years if I still play this game I might have enough for something. I don't bother buying the consumable options with bonds either simply because I'm too lazy and they do little worth fussing over. Don't get me wrong if they were the permanent fixture would be nice but just for 1 battle I couldn't care to bother.. would be nice to be able to sell them actually the extra credits to shoot some more premo ammo would be better I think.

Am at 2635 at the moment. And that is playing ranked for 2 hours every week when that was active. Just went to rank 2 and quit for the week. All others have just come from playing the game as I always do.

To give an example, here are my session stats since the new patch came out :

Session stats
Battles:     50/91    (55%)
WN8::     1 706
Avg. tier:     7.8    (8.5)
Bonds:     51    (0.6)

I would not call that bad.

I bought the improved vents, which gives +2% (and not +2.5% as it is advertised, that 0.5% is rounded down, why did WG even add that 0.5% ?) and I don't feel the difference.

The improved gun rammer adds like 0.5 second faster reload compared to the standard one. The hype about these equipment was big, but these equipment don't improve the tank that much. Use food, that improves everything and it only occupies one consumable slot, much better than having 3 improved equipment.

I don't even know how to play ranked battles, or what they actually are, or even if a peasant like me who usually plays tier 4-5 is welcome in them.

How did you know how many games I've played per day? I love statistics, where can I find them?

What ?

You played 91 battles to be able to afford 4 battles with 6th sense directive.

You'd need roughly 10k battles, if not more, for a single 5k equipment piece. You don't find it bad ? Jesus Christ.

You get bonds from random medals etc, but you also get bonds from playing tier 10 battles.

Together they add up quite nicely to be able to use directives for 6th sense when you start a new line.

As usual though, whiners will complain...

From full Tier X battles only, and roughly 7 bonds if we go by your (and mine) average experience.

Because playing tier X isn't cheap or available to all, as it's the case of OP, it's not a 'whiners will complain' case, but I guess you couldn't be arsed to read.

You also need roughly 210,064xp to grind 6th sense which, with +300% crew boosters still means roughly 70 battles or ~= 800 bonds. Per commander. As you can imagine, it's worse for OP, as he has limited access to both Tier X, boosters, and he probably is grinding different lines, not to mention his lower average XP.

When it comes to earning bonds, ranked is the (only) option. Especially if you are looking for equipment. There are players with ~40 battles that managed bronze league. 51 bonds for 91 battles is pathetic. I've done this calculation before, and will do it again: If WG decided to retroactively award me bonds for every medal I earned, I'd be looking at 6k bonds. In 35k+ battles. Yeah, 1 equipment piece in 4 years.
