For the past couple of weeks or so, I have noticed that as i peek around debris/piles, or peek over crests and so on, I can see the enemy on the other side, and im certain that I can shoot and him, so I do, but then... BAM, I apparently hit invisible ground... Even if my gun was atleast a couple of decimeters above the ground when I fired. My platoon mates have said that I sometimes never peeked over the edge before firing, but from my point of view, I did... with margain... And its not just one certain spot on a map, its almost everywhere...

Does anybody know how to solve this? im tired hitting s**t I cant even see...

You are probably using too low graphics settings.

It might be low graphics or just bad texturing. Iirc some players mentioned they hit the ground even though there was a clear path for the shell and sometimes you see the shell hit the ground but still damage the tank.

I play with low graphics settings as well and sometimes have the same problem.

One thing might be helpful: when you aim at the enemy through invisible terrain in sniper mode, the enemy tank will not get highlighted on red, even though your crosshair is on them. That's how you know there's something in the way that just doesn't get rendered in low graphics setting. Obviously it's not always easy to notice these things in the heat of battle but at least you can try to pay attention to the highlight.

Not really... there is something you can do.

You can still play at minimum, but have MUCH better collision models, if you just set "terrain quality" a bit higher. Usually, just one tick above minimum does the trick.

You get this on high quality also.

It happens when the hit box for an object doesn't match what is rendered and it works both ways.

1. You can see the enemy tank but the target won't be highlighted when you move the reticle over it. Observable when you aim through building's arches or over rubble with sharp wall edges left.

2. You can't see the enemy target but you can highlight it through an object. More specifically this is valid for train rails.
