I don't use it anymore but when I did pretty much all I got was frustration and a give up attitude when I found out my team were all sub 50% players. I'm just wondering if anyone else feels the same or is it useful in other aspects.

I just use it for the pretty colours, I've grown so accustomed to them. The game just looks so bleak and bland without the flashy team lists nowadays.. :(

I use it mainly to check if the skyebolas on the enemy team have XVM - if so then I know it's gonna be a crap camping galore game for me and my toonmate.

The likely answer is that most users have low self esteem, and need the boost they get from having others see their awesome stats. XVM (and specifically the WN8 component) are girlfriend substitutes.

I did that to get my 4 extra females and T55a doing the retarded, backward scum loving clickers missions...

Amount of PMs I went through saying sorry as felt the lowest dirtiest person I've ever been,

Might as well come from Liverpool or Leeds. Or Govan

its also ruining my upward stats... But I wanted that T55a

I use Ekspoint's Auto-Equip mod and a cheap desk clock, they provide all the useful features that XVM gave me once the minimap had been updated.

In battle, nothing I don't have the mod and don't want it.

Out of game I do keep an eye on my personal stats to see if I'm getting any better.  Still waiting for that to happen.

If I was using XVM, which I do not, I would use it for stat shaming only and arty focusing purples.

Probably stuff thats in vanilla anyway like range circles and stuff. Tanks that have/haven't been spotted yet.

Also the little number that tells me how much damage I'm doing in a game so I know if I need to pull me socks up.

Forumite mod.

Can live without the stats bit

As shown in my sig I did them all, even with honors and hardly play arty anymore. I used to play arty a lot more but when they removed the platoon option the fun was mostly over. And yes, sometimes you just feel sorry for the other guy. But the arty missions were by far the easiest for me since I had a lot of arties to choose from and knew how to play them.

But of course my previous comment was a bit of a joke, everyone expects it but I hardly even focus. Most of the time it is even bad for your goal to do.

I do use XVM because I like stats and am happy to see what level of players there are on my team and the enemy team. I never drown myself or curse in chat about that. It's not a xvm problem, the problem sits between the chair and the keyboard. and there are some things in xvm they still havent build into the game so I keep on using xvm.

Just the garage features. I've turned off the battle-statistic, but I do like the other improvements like the result screen (profit on the first screen instead of earnings etc), the clock and whatnot.

There  superb garage mods that swap my crews around and vehicle equipment without me having to press multiple buttons as I choose a vehicle.

In game the player panel shows the player name in colour based on how good they are.  I'm yellow, below me are orange then red.  Above me are green, teal  then purple and then a darker purple.  As I play the over target marker for each tank has a sliver of colour matching that rating. This means that while in battle I know how good a player is and I'll make decisions based on that.

Last week I pulled out a win when I might not have.  Serene Coast I the sole surviving vehicle in my Strv 103 and I'm a one shot to the sole surviving enemy, a Strv S1 on 80% health.  Sat by my north base I hadn't seen him in a while.  I noted from the player panel that he was orange and I made a decision.  I bombed it down the map to the enemy cap, got in it and about 10 seconds later he started capping ours.  He stayed in our cap and didn't come after me so we won.  I was heavily criticised by my own dead guys as I did  what I did,  but they they all agreed it was XVM what won it as time expired.

I don't have win chance % on but I sometimes platoon with a friend who does and i can predict the chance thrown up most of the time anyway.  Sometimes you see lots of  purple and green on the enemy team an nothing better than me on your own team and you know you're done for.

I think if i was an SPG player I'd target the better players on the enemy team first.  Probably where the value of XVM really lies.  I'm not the first to be targeted.

Many of the best features have been mentioned but I also like ...

The extra in garage tank filters.

The lightbulb that indicates that a tank has been spotted (and hence if it's still never been spotted).

FYI The win % hasn't been part of XVM for many months/patches.  It was always bad.  I now use my own algorithm ....

1) Whoever has the most green/blue/purple will win ... if the same then

2) Whoever has the most red/orange will lose ... if the same then

3) It's a close match and my personal performance could well sway the result.

I accept that I'm going to lose 1/2 my games and so don't care if I'm on a weak team.  In fact, the only games I don't like is where it's obvious that my team is going to steam roll the opponents and I'm in a slooooow tank and all our unicorns are in fast meds .... and so there'll be nothing left for me.
