Hey guys, i desperately need help!!!

I just updated my Windows 10 with the new Fall Creators Update, Version 1709. (i hate Windows 10, but i really like the interface)

It seems that WoT does not like it.

When i click the "Play" button in the launcher window stating that: "World Of Tanks" has stopped working.

I have tried any possible solution: Reinstalling the game, reinstalling the newest Nvidia drivers, formatting my PC, deleting and reinstalling my graphics card!

Nothing helped to solve the problem...!!

Guys, i have solved the problem!

For those who face this problem, go to options>compatibility settings of the launcher and check the "Disable Full screen optimization" box.

Ah laptop why you do this?

Microsoft pushed the fall creators update to my laptop, WoT fails to start.

"World of Tanks has stopped working

A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.

Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

All my drivers are up to date.

Windows 10 Home version 1709 OS Build 16299.64

Well played microsoft you derped me good.

(None of the suggestions above work. :()

Ticket to support incomming as soon as I can be arsed doing it.

Works when you connect a second monitor. Doesn't work if you don't.

Magic.........

Yep.

Checked the Sony website and the intel website.

Same driver and the same version available from both as the most recent.

Ticket raised.

Think I found the problem guys.
Seeing that I had the problem in most other games (e.g. steam), and I was able to fix it there by disabling fullscreen mode, it led me to believe that the problem was equal for WoT.
However, customizing windows screen here did not fix the problem.
I knew that nvidia updated the same date as windows 10 creator mode arrived, so I went into that control panel. There, I found an option to override system settings for screen size etc. So I choose "adjust desktop size and position"---> "full-screen" "override scaling mode set by games and programs".
Then it worked for some reason.

I have resolved the same issue by enabling the Game Mode (it's the Windows feature). However, as the mode is per application/game, all I could do is to enable it for the WoT launcher; I couldn't do it for the actual WoT client as it was crashing too fast after clicking the Play in the Launcher. At first it didn't help, but after restarting the PC, the client ran without any issues.

Just to add my two pence worth of content it does indeed seem that a recent Windows 10 update did influence screen settings.

I was playing WoT in 'borderless window' mode for a long time without any problem, but about six weeks ago (roughly the time of the Windows update) WoT Replays stopped working and instead of loading the requested game (typically linked from the forum) it would instead show a screen of hypertext. But Wot itself launched and ran OK. Eventually I started to run through the options to get Wot replays working and changing the in-game option from borderless window to full screen solved the problem.

Hy guys, same issue for me today after updating Win 10 fall creator 1709.

The launcher crashed just a few seconds after starting.

Found a solution that works for me and I'm able to play full screen.

Windows settings> Gaming:

Turn off "Recording game clips..."

Finally, I turned everything off in the "Gaming" menu

I hope that it will be helpfull for you.

See you on the battlefield! :playing:

Just to chime in here guys, I also have the same problem since yesterday. It isn't only WoT, it is all games that I try to play. None of the above have helped in the slightest (a number of them made the problem worse). When I find a solution I'll let peeps know.

Update, it seems that silent_hunter's suggestions might have actually worked. Woot!

Now I just have to do it for all my other games...

you could try to disable the "game mode" first.
