Why is the tier 8 French light so terrible? It hardly feels like a proper tier 8 tank. Lets compare it to the tier 7 T71 DA:

T71 has better DPM by far (1620 vs 1850)

T71 has higher clip potential (680 vs 900)

T71 has more shells in clip (4 vs 6) (this can be both a good thing and a bad thing, but since you always miss shots I think a higher amount of shells is better.)

T71 has better shell velocity (1000 vs 1219)

T71 has better aiming time but worse soft stats so I think gun handling is +- equal.

T71 has much better track traverse (44 vs 58) This is a huge difference.

T71 has better view range (380 vs 390)

T71 has better gun depression (6 vs 7)

BC has more health (1000 vs 840) This is only a small difference but every light tanks suffers from this.

BC has more P/W (33 vs 25) This hardly makes a difference, because the ground resistances of both tanks are very good.

BC has more pen (170 vs 145) BC is tier higher and 170 is crap for tier 8 nowadays and premium rounds give same pen as T71 premium rounds.

Although the t71 DA is a very strong tank tier for tier, please tell me why the B-C 12t is supposed to be a tier 8 tank, while it is worse in almost every aspect in comparisment with a tier 7 light tank? While I'm playing the BC it feels like playing a tier 7 tank and even when I'm top tier it feels like crap.

It's not that bad. It's not good by any stretch of the imagination and it's pretty brutal that you have to grind 3 tanks in it, but it's not a real stinker. It seems that all the newly introduced lights when the changes happened are simply worse than the ones that already were in the game and got rebalanced.

It could do with a bit more accuracy so you actually get that clip potential and don't have at least one shot of your already poor clip fly off somewhere crazy.

What are the camo ratings.  That's a big hint BTW.

It's not terrible, it just gets a bad reputation from some streamers and therefore, the gospel is repeated ad nauseam.

In the French light tank tree :

t5 is split now, you can play it as a light/scout or a light/td (75mm vs 90mm) ... in the past it was light/scout/td

t6 is now less of a light/td and more towards light/scout while still retaining and improving in some areas of the td aspects of the tank

t7 is a culmination of the t6, with improved td characteristics mainly (gun)

t8 is the light/scout one, is a shift in how you think and how you handle the tank. Turret is center, it's more focused on mobility than damage potential, so you have to stop playing like a light/td and more like a light/scout.

t9 is going back more towards light/td from light/scout, as you have a great gun, while still preserving some of that mobility of the t8, but without the top speed of the t8.

t10 is an enhanced t9, so again more towards the light/td aspects, but with less mobility, and higher top speed.

As for gun on all of them past the t6, pen is lacking if you are not a gold spammer.

They work well when you know where to aim, or you go soft targets, side shots or rear shots.

Until t10, this doesn't really chance much.

The only thing i don't like is the 600dmg per clip cause you can't face any other LT.

But besides that, it became my substitute of the ELC for the fun

But you can't compare to t71 because it's OP. Comparing to rest of tier 8 is not that bad thanks agility and camo

me and my clan mates play a lot of team battles tier 8 and we always use the bc12 in combination with a type 64 as spotters and i can say that the bc12 is a very good tier 8 light tank, very good camo, nice mobility and the autogun looks good to support

Even though the stats are quite crap, I do somehow like playing the Bc12t although it's my worst performing light tank (43% wr versus 60% average).

This tank needs a competitive DPM for light tanks, so 2000 DPM, not 1600. An autoloader should really never be an excuse to slash the DPM by a massive margin.

Hull traverse needs to be increased to 55.

Shell speed needs to be increased to 1200.

its not a bad tank, your a bad player. the bc 12t plays differently to a t71da you just need to find the play style that works for it

I liked it, but yeah it's definitely a poor tank... then again literally every single T8 LT is bad compared the the Blackdog.
