0 damage pens with the high caliber guns with 25+ second reload is just too bad and unrealistic.

Tanks in WoT have hit points, SPGs have orbital space-canon view, tanks can climb mountains  You want realistic?  This isn't the game for you.

There are no pens that do no dmg. You judt didnt hit the hitbox of the tank. What do you even expect? Because a gun is high caliber shooting yhe tracks should also dmg the hull? That makes even less sense.

there are  he could have penned an external module   resulting in zero damage

 

also penning spaced armor should give you a penned msg too

 

do you claim it makes sense when 17cm shells hit the side of a scout and do  absolutly nothing because tracks are the best shock absorber ?

 

just recently i hit the tracks of a batchat 12t with a 130mm gun - > no damage not even tracked

so talking about sense if such shells hit your tracks they would be gone for sure

I dont count those as pens those. With pens, penetrsting the main armor is meant.  Anyway, whatever the word, allowing big caliber guns to do dmg when they hit spaced armor with nothing behind would be retarded.

No replay, we can only speculate. Could be a 70 degree impact angle if it was an AP shell. Or could be you had a zero damage crit hit on the gun for all we know. Even with HE, that can still do zero damage if no armor is in the splash radius.

but the games counts them and announces them   so its rather pointless how you personally counts them

Ah the old 'I have a big gun therefore I expect it to always do damage' thread. Classic.

 

Learn to play. Autobounce and hitting modules (including tracks) that have no hitbox behind are part of how the game works.

We are not discussing how game works we are discussing if this all makes sense and should be changed perhaps.

 


When you are reloading for 1/4 min and hit faking LT with 0 damage (but penned) is not how this game should work IMHO

this reminds me when i shot an amx1390 ( back in t8) with JPE100 and only did track dmg...  the shell should pick the tank up and carry it to another dimension >.>

So even if shell doesn't come into contact with hull and pen it, it should cause damage anyway? does that make sense to you? :facepalm:

It's an arcade game. You want more realism, there are other games for you. If you wanted it to make sense, you would not have damage on your shells, and hitting tanks with HP. As your gun would make a crater out of anything it did hit. As you doing zero damage on the tracks, makes as much sense as a 12t surviving a 17cm AP shell right in the middle with 50 HP remaining. Or does that make sense more so then module damage does?

 

Then again your shell has 1050 AP damage, but he only does 228 average module damage pr shot. That's still lower then the track HP of most Batchats, or enough for even the LT to get away with it. And if you wanted the game to make more sense vs caliber vs modules like tracks and the armor behind it. I'm sure you would be back a day after the change, to complain about your modules constantly getting wrecked and your kits that have a 90 sec cool-down is to long. The 27% chance is there for a reason.
