I know this has probably came up many times before, but is the AMX 30 and 30B worth SUFFERING through the Batshit-12? I can't use the word 'grind' cz going through that tank feels a lot more like suffering. How could WG come up with such a useless tier 8 light tank is anybody's guess.

So, is it worth blowing a whole bunch of free XP on researching the Amx 30, then later grind out the 30B? Cz they seem like cheap knock offs compared to other tier 9-10 meds like the Pattons, the Leos, the E50s and the T54, T62A and Obj140, the Centurions or even the japanese meds.

Amx 30 is best tier 9 med, 30b is rather good since the buff

Tier 9 is OK, but 30B - HELL NO! It`s total garbage, even worst after so called "buffs"..

If you really hate the grind that much and if you already own STB-1, I would say its not worth it to get 30B but, I own all tier 10 mediums and I like 30B, its definitely a nice tank.

It can be frustrating at longer ranges due to low-ish penetration and extra-random shot dispersion withing the aiming circle, but when you get a chance to brawl, the DPM is very nice.

Yes. They also need more pen and more alpha and more view range. Let's make them completely broken, why not.

30B is a balanced tier 10 med. 30 proto is one of the best, if not the best tier 9 med. No need to buff them.

Oh hell yes. The AMX30 is amazing.

And the BC-12t isn't that bad either. It's not great and it's certainly not the tank I'd prefer to grind 3 tanks from, but it's a pretty decent tank. The viewrange is bad, but the camo is good and it's pretty good at clipping stuff late game.

Depends on the MM. The AMX30 is better against tier 9's and 10's as it doesn't really rely on armour anyway. Against lower tiers the t-54 can pick way more fights and not take damage in return.

I don't understand how I'm even close to breaking even WR-wise on the Batshit, that thing drives me mad.

No pen, no alpha, turns like a ferry, gets Paris, Kharkov, Stalingrad and all other 'Lights get away' maps and on good maps I have to compete against the enemy team and my own 3 to 4 other lights for the rare positions worth using in those crap tanks.

Yeah, I know, good players do amazing things in them, and bad maps are not the tank's fault, but, Good Lord!, this will have been a painful grind, I eat Batshits alive in any of my tier VIIs!

The AMX30 better be good, OR RIOT!

I tried the 30B on the test server before the current patch and really liked it. Not sure how it will perform in a "real" game though.

I'm currently at the 12t and sense says I unlock all three tier 9's that branch off it. I'll definitely unlock the Batchat line and the 30B line. Not so enthused by the 13/105 to be honest, although the ANX 13 90 has always been a good light tank.

STB-1, Leo PTA, Type 61, AMX 30, AMX 30B - are all plaqued by the same extra-random (as someone put it) dispersion within the reticle.

This makes playing the extra-frustrating. I dont recommend. RU Hovermeds (140 and t62a) are much more confortable to play.

I preferred the pre-change AMX 30 but it's still a good tank I guess.

Yeah. I'm just struggling to get some consistency in it. Really up and down games. The gun isn't good enough to get you out of trouble so it needs a very cautious approach while still trying to be useful.

The gun is pretty okay, just follow one very basic rule: Does it have more than 650hp? Leave it alone!
