Cheating obviously. Moderators please junk this crap.

Edit: Watched the replay, OP just pops up and fires from the exact same position (field side on Paris, the ridge with the bushes) basically the entire time. Then gets blind shot hit. His platoon mate in Challenger then pops up in the same spot more or less, and gets blindshot hit as well.

So yeah, definitely and obviously a hacker and a cheater.

That's called blind firing. It's obvious you're somewhere in those bushes and your challenger friend goes into the same position where you got hit.
If there were "cheats" involved can you explain why the CDC sitting next to you never got shot at?

No? Pretty obvious and stupid topic.

sigh this again... You have 10 000 games. You should know how spotting works and how it's calculated. Cheating is based on hidden info. Since everything is server side, and your location is not given to anyone when you are not spotted. Thus no "hack" can tell others where you are. As that is info others are not getting from the server to use mods to show it.

You sat at the same spot all game. Backed down once you took fire, and went up the exact same spot every single time to get hit again. Then you back off and down the hill after taking hits... and he comes to drive up and takes the exact same spot. I'm 100% sure they knew you would go back as you have done 10 times already. And that shot was meant for you.

Why can't people simply ask "What happened here?" instead of coming up with hacks and cheats as the first option? This is so annoying...

ridgeline and corner next to the building are typical blindshot  areas on paris, 50% change to hit something

It's like they have a convention on friday and head to the forums on weekends to share their stupidity with the world.

that is only partly true

destructionmod might give away your position by marking destroyed fences walls houses or trees

also wasnt it the red ball mod or something like that that would mark the position of an arty on the map based on tracers  even when the player didnt watch out for them ?

for the first one its rather simple  dont destroy stuff in the late game if you prefer to be save than sorry

dont get me wrong i dont want to say that its common that there are cheaters i just wanted to point out that some stuff might give a hint about your position

thought still no excuse for being shot at standard positions

just remember el halluf  in the earlier map version you could snipe base to base shot left and right from that stone and you almost everytime hit a tank  same for spotter bushes etc   ppl should at least know the common spots for blindshots  and that being there might get them shot without a single mod or cheat involved. its pretty much the same with repetitive behaviour if you drive out every 10 secs to shot someone  there are players that might use it against you  andeverything involved would be nobrain.exe on your side and brain.exe on their side

Neither hack nor cheating, but intuition. He blindfired you and your platoon mate.

Well yes and no. Red ball is info your client has. As the tracer as you pointed out is visible from before, without any mods. But the red ball like the destruction mod, only shows your last location. Not if you are moving after firing. And the spot he used was bushes, and that mod don't show you driving over that.

As we were discussing mods getting constant info about your movement when not spotted. Not when you drive over a fence, tree or fire your arty. As those can even be spotted if you don't have mods for it. But again, even if you see a fence going down in the distance. You don't know if he is still there, or what direction he goes. Unless he drives over every fence and tree he finds back there.

Horrible map. Such a huge waste of space which means that blind shots are extremely likely to work. Because there's nowhere else effective to go.

I enjoy playing the game but not on this map. You are so restricted in where you can go and what you can do.

well i read your post before:

Block Quote

Thus no "hack" can tell others where you are

and that sounded completly differnt to your post now

also i dont know if i understood the concept of the red ball mod right but it would mark your position even while other arent looking for tracers at all, and if every shot you take is marked  it would show if someone is moving after shots or not so appearing 2x at the same spot wouldnt it make it a rather save guess the player isnt moving after shots ? as such giving your pinpoint location

than againit would be next to impossible to tell if it was "manual" scanning of the typical arty spots  or mod assisted  if it not like a few weeks ago someone had the enemy arty stalking him right over the whole map and always shooting the places he had been in  while it would be uncommon spots he shouldnt have watch  by himself

that was 1 of the few cases obver the last year where i had a rather strong feeling that something "fishy" had been going on
