Dear WarGaming,

The chat hasn't been working in weeks. And I, like 100 people before me, am writing to ask what the problem is and if you are planing to solve it?
But it's fine maybe, who needs a chat? WG, you just remain silent and enjoy your weekend, we can chat on WhatsApp...right guys?

As usually, thank you WG for listening to us, and for appreciating us. We know you are there for us! <3

I made a few tickets about it, but someone just replied I need to chill and basically mind my own business and not bother them. In the mean time, we have no official word at all when WG will fix the issues.

At least it seemed like a human being that answered so I guess that's something.

it is getting a bit annoying now indeed that it isnt working. Taking them a little too long now to repair it.

By now is quite obvious they changed the hosting to something cheap and crappy.

If until now it was debatable if this game was showing signs of "dying", now with all the server related problems no one can deny. A few weeks, starting to measure in months and chat,  a primary service, is not fixed.

Just one more thing on their list of things not to fix, then. My contact list is more or less permanently out of commission, and I keep getting chucked out off the servers at least once or twice a day.

Trolling braindead ragers makes up 50% of the fun these days. And now I can't even send messages to far below average players.

Meh. I guess I have to do something else then.

The game is also pretty laggy at times, or is hat only me?

Is chat broken or are they timing us out if we say naughty things?  Mine was working & now it isn't & I did say something to a TKing player, that was not a nice thing, in the game before it "broke".  :)  Is this coincidence or a new feature?

True, so true :D

Actually I haven't been experiencing lags, but that depends a lot on the location so...

This might be a feature. I have experienced the exact same thing a few days ago - my ingame chat went inactive for about an hour, right after me having cheerfully expressed my deep appreciation for the artillery class in general and the unbelievably smart primates who had the idea to first implement it and then keep it in the game in particular.

No chat ban message or anything of the kind, it just went inactive. I could write, but couldn't send anything. Map pinging was working though. Just WG things, i guess.

Unbelievably smart primates...you are a genius man :D

It's working again for me - had a few messages of "encouragement" waiting when I logged in.  I shall conduct an experiment by expressing profound "disappointment" with my team - using nice words and then carefully selected not so nice ones & see if I'm cut off.  :)  I'll report back on how far I can go before chat disappears.

Great idea, would be handy to find the "breaking" point.

Meanwhile, i'm quite tempted to experiment a complementary strategy - instead of wording my appreciation to the distinguished artillery players, i figure to just give them a playful poke with a nice HE round at gamestart and let them do the talking. You know, just to check if their chat breaks as well

Could be trigger words, in-game reports or  coincidental bugs but there is a risk that by the time I figure out how it works I'll be chat banned for the rest of my life.

Well, removing chat altogether seems to be the next logical step after removing allchat. Finally, all toxicity is gone. The wot playerbase is now the nicest of them all! :bajan:

Actually, removing artillery would do a helluvalot more in that regard. Seriously now.

Okay so it's a bug.  Chat stopped after 2 games & I didn't type anything.

But... what if WG developed a routine that is able to read player's thoughts? Think, did some naughty things cross your mind just before the chat stopped working? Focus and try to remember, this is really important stuff
