What should I put on Pilot's Crew as 4th skill?

Commander: BIA, Sixth Sense, Eagle Eye

Gunner: BIA, Snap Shot, DeadEye

Driver: BIA, Smooth Ride, Clutch Breaking

Operator: BIA, Situational Awareness, Call for Venegance

Loader: BIA, Safe Stowage, Intuition

What do you usually take for your American Medium Tanks, like Patton, Pershing or whatever?

Jeez, you don't have any repairs on your tank?

Well, I don't put them unless I think it will be of most importance for my gameplay, or if a tank is just stupidly slow so anyone can track you.

Oh btw thx for replaying to topic

That's very wrong. What shocks me is that you have 20k battles played. Please watch this vid, retrain your crews properly and use this forum to become a better player.

Your fourth skill should be everything you currently have as your third skill after you retrain and replace them with repairs.

I go with exactly the same layout as you have for the first 2 skills and then I try and play to the tanks strengths and current meta. Some tier 8 mediums have excellent camo and sniping potential while others are poor camo and not particularly accurate. The Pilot is interesting as it sort of sits right in the middle of what it can and cannot do. You could use the Pilot as a semi-scout sniper type tank is you went all camo skill, camo paint and a set of optics but with todays typical battles, I find that most maps are urban or close quarter fighting so camo would be wasted most the time as such on a tank like this I'd make some of the crew repairs as you will get tracked.

Because tier8 and higher tanks have decent health pools it's really worth getting repairs and I found the Pilot particularly susceptible to modular damage with the turret regularly getting jammed in place, optics being knocked out, gun being knocked out, all of which automatically repair so you definitely should go ahead and do that for some. swap eagle eye for repairs, dead eye for repairs, call of vengeance for repairs and intuition for repairs. That's 4 of 5 crew on repairs and that will really make a big difference. I'd actually agree with the clutch breaking however since the Pilot turns like a barge and having this skill will allow in most cases to get turn your hull along with your turret quickly enough to get your gun on an agile light tank that tries and out circle you as he pops away, repairs is not of much use in those situations and you will definitely appreciate your tank traversing quicker and picking off that light tank.

Party agree here, however having repairs or not depends highly on skillset. i dont use repairs,only on heavies, if you minimize exposure you dont need them and other skills and perks are 100% active while repairs are situational

I'd have expected to see Camo & Repairs and even Fire Extinguishing before things like Eagle Eye, DeadEye, Call for Vengence and Intuition (I wouldn't pick those on a 6 skill crew).

And Clutch Breaking sounds counter productive.

I don't see why you have no preventative maintenance on your driver. USA tanks have the most chance to be set on fire.

I would go for repairs now as well, as well as recon on your commander.

Call for vengeance, deadeye and intuition are useless, so I would replace them. even taking camo is more useful then those, but I would not recommend that, as USA tanks have bad camo.

I always go for view range and mobility, as being the eyes of your team helps you gain assist damage and you will be able to move quickly towards and away from enemies.

I think it would also be useful to know what equipment you use. I use optics, vstab and rammer. because of this, after I finish my recon skill, my view range will be 463, which helps a LOT. without optics you won't get above 445m.

Here's a nice little spreadsheet for crew skills.

Do you tend to move your tank while under fire?

 -Yes->get repairs

 -No ->don't get repairs.

I asked you about advice, not what you are shocked about.

And I'm not gonna spend 400 golds on reset, I will just put 4th skills on crew.

So you're advices are useless. Bye

I think the same and I don't use them on all tanks. Especially on fast ones

Not longer 100% of the time correct as you can re-use your repair kit. So before, having repairs or not could have saved you from a perma-track (or track in general), especially late game as it would have been likely that you used your kit already. That directly translated into death or not, and often win or not. But now that's no longer the case.

There is even an argument in going for camo > repairs on meds as with all the high alpha td's running around being spotted and shot by them is an even bigger threat than being tracked/ammo racked.
