Firstly. Yes i am aware this is the WoT forum, but in order to post in the WP forum i need 10 battles.. so yeah..

Simple question, Is it actually worth, and fun to play since the major rework it had? tempted to give it ago but still on the fence

Yeah, it's quite fun and the exp earnings have been ramped up which means more free exp which transfers back to Tanks.

Get in before the pros meta the life out of it again.

Depends. It's basically more like BF's conquest mode now. You capture areas and bases, and take back those you lost. You can re-spawn until your reinforcement line is cut off. Increases the duration of most battles. So if you like modes like that. Then sure. More players and less bots to fight, as the update has increased population on low to mid tiers anyway. I found it more fun, but still in short doses. That and the XP pr game has jumped up rather high. A "meh" game can be 5K xp if need be. So grinds are faster. So is the credit income. Tho don't confuse XP with the battle points shown during the battle.

That and they have a few campaign missions. Some rather easy and fast to do for 50 gold rewards. As they total 1000 gold combined. So if you need 10 gold here and there for equipment demount. It's not the worst idea to pay a few rounds.

For me "not". Looks like a cheap Chinese copy of War Thunder.

It doesn't have the "aim here" indicators that WT has in its air arcade mode, which gives it a plus from me.

The Stuka doesn't get bombs, however, which is a bigger minus because oh come on it's a Stuka ffs.

In short, it's a fun arcade game but I think it still has issues with optimisation; my fps dropped from a steady 60-70 to 25-30 over a session that lasted about 3 hours whereas I can play Tanks or WT all day without a problem. The missions are so easy that I'd earned about 500 gold before I'd worked out why I kept getting small amounts of gold after each battle.

Have a look through this thread on the WoWp forum for some bonus codes, currently there are codes for two low tier premium aircraft, a couple of hanger slots and a couple of hundred thousand credits.

WT got flying more right in general, and combat. But now with the new WOWP, they nailed the gameplay aspect a bit better to make it more fun vs WT.

I didn't get them to work. They didn't seem to progress.

While it doesn't have the aim here indicators, what I've noticed while playing a couple dozen games now is that there is an extremely general dose of aim assist. You only need to get the range and lead somewhat kind of there and you'll completely riddle the enemy with bullets.

Will install it today... don't think I'll play a lot but I like ww2 planes and if it's arcade, it's OK.

My clan got back into WoWP with the recent update 2.0. The game is hands down a far better game than it ever was before. Now it feels like a game and not just a 20 second battle as it was before. If you are getting back into WoWP use the codes

Code: WARPLANES

Gift Bonus: 1 x Tier II AR67 plane + hanger slot and 1 x Tier III Supermarine Type 224 + hanger slot

Code: HELLOWARPLANES

Gift Bonus: 1 x Tier II AR67 plane +hanger slot and 1 x Tier III Supermarine Type 224 + hanger slot or if you already own these the code will offer you 516,000 credits and two hanger slots.

To active the code login to the World of Warplanes portal and click on your user name in the top right and then select "Activate Wargaming Code.

Thanks and have fun!

So you automatically think that because we play world of tanks we will know if it's worth while to play world of warplanes ?.

 i don't know why i bother seriously i don't

And what is your problem? Many WOT players played/plays wowp. Personally i didnt like it but time from time was wondering how is it now, and after reading this topic i probably gonna try it again atleast to check planes from that code.

Yep, that's why I said it's an arcade game. The update puts some distance between WoWp and WT, for the better IMO.

You don't have to do anything, it's the same pool. What you see as your free xp in WoWp is the same free xp you see in WoT, also applies to gold and premium time.

Firstly, you haven't bothered to do anything except complain so you've created that problem for yourself. Secondly, if you read the thread you'd see that a number of us play both games and were able to answer the question so while it's in the wrong section of the forum, it was sensible to ask the question here for the reason given (i.e. having to have played 10 battles to post on the 'planes forum).

Plus if you look at their forum, currently half of it is veteran players complaining about 2.0 so the question wouldn't have received a very balanced response. This wasn't helped by you needing to have played 250 battles to post there for the first few weeks after the update, which meant that a lot of the grumblings weren't answered by newer players and converts.

You don't do anything, you will have the same gold, premium time and free exp in WoWP and WoT.  Which means if you spend it in WoWP it will be gone from WoT so be careful if you were saving up free exp or gold for something.
