So, i was wondering if you guys have any criteria when it comes to blacklisting of players. Mine are as follows.

  • At least 10.000 games
  • personal score lower than 3000

If someone is really bad like personal score under 2k i don't care he/she is only 9000 games. Full blacklist. I do blacklisting to help me to see bottom players as i don't use XVM.

Has a name containing seven letters, beginning with Proc and ending in jon.

Other than that I see no point in blacklisting anyone permanently now we have the option to block for one battle (when it works).

And what exactly is the point of abusing the blacklist like that?

I blacklist ragers and spammers who bore me or when I have nor time to countertroll them.

All Arta players, who seem to xvm snipe, get blacklisted and reported.

I would blacklist and report them all, but unfortunatly we don't get enough reports and space on the blacklist to do that.

If I meet them again, I know what's coming and might delete them (just like they do in their clicker-waggons), no matter on which side they are.

Over the course of 6 years my blacklist has only reached 159 names so those on it are indeed pretty "unique" people.

Almost exclusively people who teamkill me randomly like the guy I added yesterday. Had a 5,5k combined damage rolling on Lakeville in my Pershing positioned at the rock on mid.
An allied Skorpion G decided to come there and squeeze in for no reason, I didn't say anything but a few minutes later as I was trying to turn my tank to get back to base and relocate I apparently touched him and he got hit by a shot so he shot me and set me on fire for 1200 dmg losing us the game and then had the guts to start raging at me.

That's the kind of person who ends up on my blacklist.
A few ragers who feel the need to excessively tell me what they think about me for 10 full minutes and spam the map have also made it on there.

Never blacklisted anybody for yoloing me, arty focusing me or "luck" though like some other people do.

Funnily enough statistically strong players OR bad rerolls make up a large proportion of my blacklist. I recognize clan names like VIHAR, V4D, STEPA, LGEND, STRNK, TAKE, NOS, VSOP, R4IN, SERPE, L-FEW, M-B-Z and 322 among those 159 names and funnily enough almost all of them whether from these good clans or among the 47%er players in my blacklist are officers or even commanders of their clans.

Does being assigned to an officer position boost their ego or something to a level where they turn into an absolute douchebag or do douchebags get officer positions?

Anyone who acts like a complete [edited]in chat (whether it's directed at me or not), anyone who acts like a complete [edited]in private messages, anyone who intentionally tries to screw up my games - whether it be through blocking, pushing, team damage, team killing, etc.

I can't think of any reason I would blacklist someone other than that.

I don't bother blacklisting anyone. If I could add a reason while blacklisting and check it when I meet them in-game then for sure I would if it something that is revenge worthy. No one acts 24/7 the way they do at the moment of blacklisting so putting everyone there serves no purpose.

Xvm clicker focus , because when there is 3+ heavies  sitting in the open and you are behind a house/rock and they are still shooting @ you.

Trolls that TK because you wont play the way the way they want you to play , usually sub 1k wn8 /sub 50% wr because "they knowses bestest"  if the first shot doesn't kill me i get a 1 hour ban.

Anyone on your hitlist "cough" blacklist is highlighted when you see them in a match again , you can either keep an eye on them or show them some love with a real big alpha gun preferably

It lets you know that you put them on the list in subsequent games...

Never felt the need to blacklist anyone, what does it do anyway? If i would blacklist anyone it would be if he keeps spamming chat, is toxic in chat or stalks mr with messages.

Generally map ping spammers or some really obnoxious players.

They cannot PM you, you do not see their messages in game nor their map pings. That is really about it.

Example 1:  I Play with only one arm.  Having had the other blown of while fighting for my country.  I am unable to work and one of my releases is play this game, if somewhat poorly.

Example 2:  I am on a low income and cannot afford to replace my ageing PC.  I am aware my machine affects my performance but I really enjoy the game.

Example 3:  Yeah, I am bad but this game has multiple modes that reward more skilled players.  Random means just that, live with it.

Example 4:  I play on average okay.  However, I have bad games as well as good.  Sometimes, some self-entitled whiner will attempt to bully me becasue he is over invested.

Me, I only blacklist really crappy people, not players.  You can be as good or as bad as you like.  Act badly because of a video game.  Bye.

I save my blacklist for people I want a warning of if I ever see them on my team again, mostly tkers, trolls and deliberate blockers that I might need to keep an eye on and ideally plan to be in a different part of the map. I rarely blacklist for misbehaving in chat although I will do it if someone rage pms be in garage or is shockingly obnoxious - by which I mean "actually a real life nazi filled with unfathomable rage" levels of obnoxious. So far only 37 people have made it to my blacklist so the bar is set pretty high.

To counterbalance I do use the mute function extremely liberally - the instant someone starts acting up in chat they get muted. It stops them becoming a distraction and I've never known someone like that go on to contribute usefully in the chat so I don't lose anything from it.
