Hi guys, not sure if you guys are getting lag issues lately but today was f***ing unplayable, the worst yet, pretty much every game, regardless of server. Is anyone else getting this? Is from my side or WG side?

Here is yesterday, wasn't too bad

And here is today, disgusting utterly disgusting experience.

I can't make sense of these graphs anyway but maybe you guys can explain?

Edit- Reason I want to know who is to blame is because I bought a 3 day premium account to grind out some tanks and if it's a case of WGs server issue or something cause on their end, then I'll be looking for a refund. I ain't paying money for this level of s***. Same applies to my network, they charge me plenty so if they can't provide a stable connection will be in contact with them.

Have you tried rebooting your router?

Are you using wifi?  Because half a second ping to your own router isn't normal.

Also increase the interval on Pingplotter, sometimes it can ping too often for home routers.

Otherwise they aren't showing anything really.

And how about uploading the images to the forum instead of that pr0n site.  Having to open the forum on my phone just to see those images is a PITA.

I have it connected by cable instead for a more stable and best possible signal etc

Well on that first trace you are getting up to half a second delay just between you and your router.  And the 2nd one is getting well over 100ms.  That should not happen with a wired connection.  Router may be overloaded.

The second one has some ping spikes which start in your ISP's network.

There's so many nodes not responding to ping in those traces it's impossible to get anything reasonable from them.

Try increasing the interval and testing again.

had a couple of problems as well today. game freezing for no reason, while I just picked a slow tank. restarted the game and of course I was too late to deal any damage...

Had a couple of games with ping all over the place too. Thought it was just me but happy to find others who suffered from it.

On Eu2. Not a single issue for me in terms of ping or lag. So I highly doubt it's on WG's end... on that server anyway.

But considering you have 100% packet loss on half your pings. It could be your ISP even.

Unfortunately you have to ignore those because the most likely reason for them is those nodes are set up not to respond to ping.  One might ask why, and one might suspect someone is hiding something, but it could equally just be an overzealous admin.

That ping fluctuation on hop 1 though........ That's not right.

i noticed some issues too, don't know if the're related to lag, but in one game I could turn my m103 right A key was working though), and two games later I couldn't reload my mag on the T54E1 although I was literally spamming the R button.

Given that there is no packet loss on the final destination it is almost certainly the case that those nodes just don't respond to pings. The ping issue however occurs right outside the gate.

Strange thing, I played the game again later this evening and it ran pretty much perfectly. Was so nice, earlier today was such a drag and very frustrating since I was trying to grind out 4 lines and was impossible tbh with such start stop freeze disconnect etc etc sort of horror show but this evening was very good. Turned what was reading 33% win rate after 75% of todays battles into a 51 or 52% win rate for today with a smooth run of 80% win rate or there abouts for a final. Doesn't matter tbh was just so nice to be able to manually aim and play again properly, win lose or draw.

Unplayable in the evening for me too.

It was fine during the day though.

These problems arise mostly on saturday/sunday evenings, it looks like some backbones need upgrading, somewhere.

@OP

It started ok but it became laggy around 18:00 CET. Tank was skipping like a mofo at times. The aiming became hopeless at some point.

It was pointless to keep playing. Teams were decent but despite my good mood it wasn't meant to be.

First time I've seen OP actually post a Pingplotter report to back up his complaint; unlike everyone else in this thread.

Again: WG's servers can be the problem (they were a few years ago, we even got an apology), but most likely the problem is somewhere between the chair and your country's border. The main problem is typically ISPs with shitty infrastructure that don't exactly prioritize gaming traffic. The infrastructure is typically not suited to handle everyone in the neighbourhood using a lot of bandwidth at once - and typically your ISP only promises a max speed, not a constant one.

(My ISP used to throttle the network speed in the early evenings, and did so for ages. Reason was the rather sharp increase in torrenting. This was ten-twelve years ago, but streaming services bring some of the same problems now that it's common for everyone to use them. It's very obvious looking at Pingplotter, for instance.)

You don't have a Puma 6 based router do you?
Those CPUs have a flaw that causes them to keep locking up
