The hill is way too strong and dominant of a position with the view range and firepower the higher tier tanks have. It's fine when 90% of both teams are blind as a bat and slower than a 1-legged dog high on horse tranquilizers. Add to that the fact that the spawn points on encounter are super biased to favour the north spawn and you've got yourself a genuine clusterfup that has no business anywhere near tier 6 and above vehicles.

At higher tiers there are only two positions, the front line or the red line. If your tank has no business being at either, you are a bit screwed.

It can be a fun battle providing MM does it's job correctly, but most of the time one side gets autoloader lights vs single shot and superheavies vs kranvagn + 50b lol

I like the map. The hill provide protection from arty, as the village do. There are enought buildings to perform tactical push to enemy base.

Sure hill is the most important part of the map, but it's not a problem to have key points on the maps IMMO.

I would test provence too, just to see those pesky campers lighted up ad wrecked at the very beginning, but it's too little to perform tactical moves well, so it shouldn't get back, for high tier at least. (Loved it in low tier)

this.   Its a clear sign that wargaming dont understand their own game, when they keep this map in high tier rotation.

No.... it's the stupidest map for high tiers by far atm. They though Widepark was stupid for tier X, but not Ensk. Or even less this.

So much fun in Encounter mode when you spawn in the south and get spotted and shot to pieces seconds in to battle while trying to cross to the middle.

No, I am not stupid, I don't drive across the water but go behind the rocks, still doesn't help as aggressive scouts on an early run will spot you.

There are one (or maybe two) things about the 'Mines meta' that really defines it. The solution lies there. Care to have a guess why that pile of crap is staying?

Mines is broken the moment a Pz I Ausf. C or Pz II Ausf G with a skilled crew appears. BT-SV is another huge offender even as low as Tier III.

At Tier IV there is a whole host of LTs that make the map creak ominously, and at Tier V tanks get the viewrange to go with the speed (whereas at Tier IV it tends to be viewrange OR speed (binocs or coated optics?)

lol I am the only one voting for the 2nd. I quite like the map and also on higher tiers, but without arty. it's really interesting how you need to play it then and people say like, if you have the south you auto-lose. nonsense.. if you play smart and outplay the enemy you can still win.

I say yes, honestly I don't really see people's problem with this map in higher tiers, yes it's pretty small and yes it plays out in roughly the same fashion (but so do other maps).

It's a nice little snack for in between all these drawn out T10 matches that last 14 minutes because everyone is camping and too afraid to move because all tanks are at viewrange cap.

And personally I see it as a challenge to either get the hill at the start and if not, to kick the enemy off and still take it. Most of the times I play mines I actually win the match.

Did you fall off the hamster wheel?

i voted NO,

simply because if Mines is removed, then i get to see more stalingrad, more winstorm, more overloard, more winter maps of normal maps..

Map rotation is bad enough now and Mines is a bowl of fresh air, even if at high tiers it is a cluster fcuk.

Voted no.

Map design is okay but far too small.
