this is nothing new, I don't remember when it was the first time I noticed it, well over a year, perhaps 2 or more.

Anyone knows if WG has any plans on fixing this?

I am talking about being in scoped view, shooting and at the same time (or almost same time) pressing the (in my case) shift key to go out of zoom in mode.  100% miss.  The shot, no matter how far the target is (it doesn't have to be a vehicle), will miss.

I have a feeling this has something to do with the other thing of having the camera change direction when you are in an obstacle and you go in/out of scope view.

If you fired your shot before zooming out then it shouldn't make any difference, the zoom itself does not influence accuracy. On the other hand if you fired after zooming out then there's a good chance to miss because maybe you moved your hand a bit or due to obstacles or maybe the enemy tank moved a bit and the whole thing of course depends on the distance.

To avoid this you should be absolutely sure to zoom out after firing a shot.

Just try it yourself.  Shoot and at the same time zoom out.

Fire and zoom out at the same time.  Not one after the other.  Try it.

The thing is, you can't do it at the same time, it is going to be fire then zoom out or zoom out and then fire. Pressing both buttons at the same time just provides inconsistent results, also if you do provide some replays we could tell you is it option A or option B.

At the end of the day you can still just.... not do it.

I don't know how to answer this.

Why would I do that?  It makes no sense.

So.

Post a replay and lets see if it's fire then zoom or zoom then fire.

No matter how skilled you are at button mashing one will happen before the other.  And this isn't a button mashing game anyway.

You never even tried.

If you come claiming something happens then it's helpful if you have something to demonstrate the issue with.

Why you are mashing fire and shift is beyond me anyway but if I tried I couldn't do it.  I can barely manage W and D together.  This isn't CoD, it's a game for old men in their armchairs.

I like to lie down on the bonkette, well that's what wife calls it, when I play.

Retract your zoom and fire at the same time, now that's plain silly...

Once tried pressing W key, A key, and to click on minimap, CTRL key at the same time as well. I am sure my brain went into a spasm......

Do you not have a mouse wheel?

Shoot, slight pause, zoom out.  Problem solved.

Why do people zoom out after a shot?

I googled.
