Better of spamming gold through the mantlet than shooting cupola weakpoints.

Aims at cupola. shoots.

-Critical hit. shoots again.

-Critical hit.

Maybe I should aim to the upper part of the cupola. shoots.

-Critical hit.

Maybe I should shoot closer to the base of the cupola.

-Critical hit.

[edited]it. loads gold. Shoots the mantlet.

-"We got them good"

He was shooting at the T110E5 cupola with regular ammo, isn't that obvious?

And then at a VK 7202P  (something) mantlet with premium?

Some pointers, without context, this is a baseless whine. Some tank cupolas are not weakspots or just 'fake' weakspots (meaning, they are weaker, but just so hard to hit that they actually contribute to actual armor levels), while similarly, several tanks got weak gun mantlets (only the gun shield & no armor behind it), so stating which tank you tried shooting this way can help in giving advice.

You shoot regular ammo through the mantlet of the PzKpfwVII or shoot the hull cheeks, you dont shoot it's cupola.

nope, because most tier 8+ shooting at the T110E5 cupola will in fact do damage 9 out of 10 shots

the guy who wrote this topic just shows the type of ignorance that lead people to spamm gold in first place...

why they spamm gold? their knoledge about tanks is minimal...

i can perfectly understand why someone spamm gold at a Type 5 heavy, a maus because most guns cant penetrate them with regular AP, its simply not possible

because WG removed almost all the weakspots, but some guns are still cappable of doing it... tier X Td's guns with more than 290 penetration will only spamm gold

at this 2 vehicles if the player is A: incompetent or B Lamme....

i am also against purple players that despite their skill and knolege about the game play only with premium rounds because to avoid any RNG problems... or to maximize

their results...

Like any competition the lack of rules and the lack of fiarplay from people leads to unfair situations....and i really think that players who can be competitive with regular AP

in most tanks are superior in terms of gameplay vs players who are gold spammer, and for this reason i asked several times for WG to introduce statistics about the gold usage

to measure the real skill of players, to know if they are really competitive in a normalized situation or simply if they exploit premium rounds to archieve better results than other players....

then we have unrealistic top damage made in certain tanks purely because of premium ammunition and not because of skill... this must be contained despite wg use premium rounds as way to feed the sell or market of premium tnaks, otherwise good players would make money even on tier 9 and 10 games...

Those things happen. But I still get by fine shooting pretty much no premium ammo.

Without context I can only say: git gud.
